The film mentions that "I always knew he was different" on the side points to this, but it's still not deep enough. The film is too emotional to win. But as long as it can't be solved theoretically, it's always justified to oppose homosexuality.
There is another small detail. The film uses the father's mouth to say a common-sense error "animals know how to find the opposite sex". This erroneous statement is often used to support the proposition that "homosexuality is an acquired choice, not a biological nature, and goes against the laws of nature". In fact, there are homosexuals among animals. I don't know why a 2009 film has such a common sense error. Even if this is to portray the father's incomprehension of homosexuality, it should be corrected in a later episode. Otherwise, some ignorant audiences will consolidate their ignorance.
A very good friend of mine, at first, rejected homosexuality to the extreme. Then he suddenly watched TV one day and mentioned that there are homosexuals in animals, and he suddenly became enlightened.
Comrades, when defending yourself in the future, grasp the essence of the problem and avoid nonsense.
