It's more like a sci-fi, fantasy background art film. A big difference from ordinary sci-fi films is that the background of tales from the loop is not the future, but the past. All of the stories take place in "Small Town America" in the early and mid-20th century.
After watching the whole season, I suddenly feel that this is the perspective of a child looking at the world - it's just that those things that children can't explain are given some conclusive and mysterious explanations: those that suddenly disappear can't be found again. My mother, a familiar person whose soul seems to have suddenly been changed, a love that cannot be kept fresh, everyone dies like a fate, a life that cannot be controlled no matter how hard you try, as if you suddenly grow old or die in the blink of an eye. Family, love that doesn't know when it will come, fear of the unknown whether it will hurt you or not...
This is a film about "loop" and "unknown". In the film, there is a whole world and eternal time. We can find ourselves in all the stories.
Regardless of time or the world, all human beings cannot escape that "loop" in the end.
