"Neon Genesis Evangelion Theatrical Edition · Broken"

This one is my personal favorite of all the series, and not just because the fight scenes are really exciting.

On the whole, the protagonist is still a waste of visual sense, but it does not affect the introduction of the plot and the control of the rhythm. It's really weird that Asuka is trapped in the body of the apostle and the EVA fight with a soothing music is really weird.

The battle before the final base is a small climax, it feels good.

The ending card is also very clever. Still highly recommended

  • Ryoji Kaji: [Shows up behind Ritsuko] You lost a little weight, huh, Ritsu?

Ritsuko Akagi: Nice try, but I gained more than I'd like to admit.

Ryoji Kaji: Maybe you're just wearing too many clothes.

Ritsuko Akagi: I'd show you, but this room's being monitored.

Ryoji Kaji: Was monitored. I replaced the main feed with a loop.

Ritsuko Akagi: Thoroughly prepared as always, huh?

Ryoji Kaji: Hey, when I play, I play to win.

    Ritsuko Akagi: But you've lost.

[an angry Misato watches from the window]

Ritsuko Akagi: You should've covered the windows too.

  • Unit-01 Dummy Plug System: [during start-up, in reverse] Freedom is an illusion. All you will lose is the emotion of pride. To be dominated by me is not as bad for human pride as to be dominated by others of your species.
