Watch If Only this weekend. Before reading it, I eagerly recommended it to a few friends online. Maybe because I mentioned the word "moving", a friend immediately asked if it was a Korean film. It's really just a matter of habit. In my impression, Korean love movies seem to have become synonymous with "moving". However, "If Only" is one of the very few European and American films that moved me, a rare European and American emotional film.
The love between Samantha and Ian is ordinary and ordinary, just like the love of many people in modern urban life. Men, always work first, women, there will always be so many grievances. In love, the contributions between men and women seem to be always unequal, and there is no such thing as equality. Because, when two people love each other, there is always one who loves the other more.
Ian loved Samantha, as he said, really. But he never remembered what Samantha said, what Samantha liked, and even if his secretary reminded him repeatedly to remember to attend Samantha's graduation concert, he would still forget. There is a very ironic plot in the film:

Because of work, Ian gave up the chance to meet Samantha's mother and refused to accompany Samantha. The morning conversation between the two also broke up. And when Samantha accidentally saw Ian walking into the travel agency on the street, she felt moved in her heart. She remembered that he said he would give her a surprise in the morning, so she thought that the surprise he said was to go back with her to see her mother. However, it wasn't until dinner that it became clear that he was just going to buy a business trip to another city. Ian gives Samantha the perfect day and surprises her over and over again.
