At first, judging from the title, viewers would think that this is a film with a political stance, but after watching it! Not also. The film just uses the background of North and South Korea. The characters portrayed in the whole film are basically either forcibly drawn to the front line, or they are on the front line for revenge. None of the characters portrayed in the film were originally intended to fight for the country. Irony?
North and South Korea hate each other so much? actually not. Going back to the source, the hatred should be the respective governments for their own interests. Because of the war caused by their own interests, the war forced older brothers and younger brothers and even more people to participate in the war. Because war kills even the best of friends. In the whole film, the younger brother is the most sober person, and both sides are the same raccoon dog. There are war scenes in the whole film, which occupy a lot of space, but after watching the war scenes, people feel the most real thing is the horror of war.
War can never defeat human nature, human nature, family affection, and love are the greatest banners.

  • Young-shin: [while trying to decide what to take along as they evacuate the house upon declaration of war] There's Kimchi pots buried in the yard. What will happen to them?
