The story of "The Garden of Words" takes place in modern Tokyo. The story tells the love story of a boy Takao Akizuki and a mysterious woman Yukino Yukari, who aims to be a shoemaker. The story originates from the love of "loneliness and sorrow" at the beginning of Manyoshu. The work reveals factors such as shoes, Manyoshu, Japanese garden, and rain.
