I really don't know why the 89th Academy Awards were awarded to "Moonlight"! The "Wong Kar Wai-style" camera language, fragments, ravings, blank space... is full of bullying, humiliation, drugs, and violence. A boy's growth trilogy, after going through all kinds of hardships, finally grows into a man. Our "adult" appearance is only to be strong enough to protect the weak and humble self in the past. Washing our bodies in dirty water, maybe our "grown up" appearance is not good-looking, but in the dark, there is finally a bright moonlight. To this end, we can also become soft in the moonlight, retain tenderness, reconcile with a terrible mother, and face our own unruly feelings. Is it "I was born, I'm sorry" or "The world kisses me with pain, but I repay it with a song"? It's all up to you to decide for yourself. Don't let anyone decide for you.
