A delicate description of the situation of gays in the black community. Black boy in moonlight is blue: The black culture (hypermasculinity&materialism) under love is faded away, revealing the softness and delicacy of its own gayhood. Kevin is Chiron's moonlight. Chiron has been called Black by Kevin since he was young, and it also reflects the unconscious discipline of society (even Kevin) for Chiron - that is, embracing manhood and toughness. The title of the third part eventually changed to black. On the one hand, it echoes Chiron's rough image as an adult (that is, the discipline is successful), and on the other hand, this is also Kevin's nickname for Chiron, representing the relationship between the two. The role of discipline and Kevin's call to return to Chiron, although seemingly contradictory, are actually more delicate and true.
