"Stalingrad": "Bumpy" Humanity

Walking into the theater with a tragic mood, I found that it is not a war movie in the strict sense. There are two reasons why it is not considered a complete war movie. First, the film did not cover the war scenes with a few big scenes, nor did it shape the character of the protagonist too much. Second, although the film is called "Stalingrad", it is not about the Battle of Stalingrad, but a story between several people in a small battle in the entire Battle of Stalingrad, without involving national enmity Not to mention national justice. In this way, it seems that the whole film rambles about a little story in a war, not a war.

The Battle of Stalingrad was a turning point in World War II and the bloodiest battle in the modern history of mankind. In this context, the people and events shown in the film do not have the kind of oppression and urgency that they imagined, or even the thinking logic that should be expected in a normal war. The German soldiers are numerous and rich in weapons and equipment, and they can't even attack the houses occupied by dozens of Russian troops for a long time? ! And why did the Russian army guard a dilapidated building? ! Most of the area has been occupied by the German army, and what is in this dilapidated building that these soldiers can't put down is not explained in these videos. There is also the Russian army who is roaming and has no strategy at all against the German army who is eyeing the building. In my opinion, it was solved with a few words when they started the fight. There is no strategy to fight recklessly. The contactor that could not be used at the critical moment, and the German artillery that was only repaired until the end. If repairs were started early, the building would have been destroyed by bombing. Although the reason for everything happened is not clearly explained in the film, the 3D special effects of flying ashes and the gray and blue scenes of the broken walls can temporarily remedy the psychological gap of the audience, which can be regarded as bringing a general atmosphere of war.

War is not cruel enough to kill a few people. I haven't really experienced the war years, but I know that there are many kinds of pain in war that are deeper than physical damage.

In the raging war, it is not only people's lives that are roughed up, but also their feelings. The relationship between Kaja and the five Russian soldiers is a friendship that transcends blood. But how to define which one is love, which is friendship and which is family affection? Or which one of the five people has the purest love for Kaja, rather than an urge to approach such a gentle woman in a turbulent environment? None of this can be proven, and there is no need to pursue it. I think if someone else ended up sending Kaja to a safe viewing point, that person would still confess to Kaja and Kaja would still say "I love you too" to him. Five men and one woman, the relationship between them is love, but not any kind of love. For Kaja, the five people are tall and mighty soldiers who can fight and kill enemies, and they can bring Kaja a sense of security. And although the five people have never done anything to hurt Kajia in the troubled times, Kajia likes the feeling they bring her in her heart, and Kajia can't help but approach them. And these five people have experienced brutal wars, shuttled through the hail of bullets every day, and woke up in the morning listening to the sound of bombs. Although they are tough guys, they are already tired of this kind of jittery and highly tense life, and their hearts have been suspended and unable to settle because they have been away from their homeland for a long time. It was at this point that Kaja appeared in their lives, hiding with them in the dilapidated building. The teenage girl has a beautiful face, kind-hearted, and although she is dull, she has such a lovely energy. It has been a long time since I have been in contact with soldiers of the opposite sex and are used to seeing blood casualties. How can my heart not be softened, even if it is only a little. Therefore, the five people are needed by Ka Jia and also need Ka Jia. The heart is deserted by the icy battlefield, and they need fresh sunlight to inject. The relationship between five men and one woman can be complicated sometimes, but in that case it's so simple, I love you, I love him, I love her, and he loves her.

Many people sighed at the love between German officers and Russian women. This kind of poignant, romantic and tragic love may be the yearning of most women. The German officer Kahn fell in love with the Russian woman Martha, because Martha looked like his deceased wife. Kahn always brought all kinds of daily necessities to Masha, and Masha was not allowed to be used by others. They went from a simple physical relationship to finally finding that when Kahn had to let go of Martha, he couldn't let go of Martha anymore. Even if they are antagonistic or even enemies, even if they don't speak the language and never understand each other's language, Kahn and Martha have already told each other their feelings, but they just don't understand each other. Karn wants Martha, so despite his status as a soldier, he tries to keep Martha behind him. It can be seen that Kahn has long been tired of war, but he has to insist on fighting. Because he is a soldier, he cannot put the individual first, and the first is to release the country. Only after the country can he be with Martha. This relationship was doomed to be a tragedy from the beginning, and in the end, the unfortunate death of Martha completely ended this love in the war.

If "Stalingrad" is not a war film in the full sense, it is not a traditional romance film. So what is he? The narration at the end of the film, I can't remember the original words, it probably means that there are those who fought in the past, and so on, and so on. So can we understand that this is a theme that highlights the hard-won stability and peace of our present life by describing the turmoil and difficulties in the past wars, and tells us to love life? In this case, why does the film start with the earthquake in Japan to elicit this past event? After the earthquake, the gloomy weather on the earth, and the suffering people who were crushed under the ground, how can people feel the beauty of life now? And the introduction of this story is also to appease the people who are pressed underground, and the audience themselves are suffering. Does this mean that, even without the threat of war, there are still various natural disasters, and the homeland after the disaster is no better than the homeland after the war. This seems to contradict the theme of the above conjecture again...

In this way, human nature seems to be the only theme of the film. In this film, there are brilliant feelings but no brilliant humanity, and some are ordinary humanity. Everyone has an emotional destination and sustenance in their hearts, whether it is hometown or war or people around them. The best thing about this film is that although it is set in one of the most brutal battles in recent history, it doesn't overly pursue the right or wrong of war. And the war is not viewed from a single Russian perspective, but from the perspective of both sides. The Russian soldiers struggled very hard and suffered heavy losses in the war. The German army did not have a good time because of this, but was also looking forward to the end of the war. The physical pain can be endured, but how to resist the "displacement"? From the perspective of the film, there is no distinction between enemy and self in the description of this war. Both sides in the war are suffering great pain, and no one is better. Whether it is the Russian army or the German army, they are just a soldier who goes to the battlefield for their mission, and they are all individuals. And the humanity they embody is a series of sparkling human brilliance with the characteristics of ordinary people, without the broad-mindedness and fearlessness of heroes...etc. They are just ordinary people who go to the battlefield. Perhaps the bravest and brightest part of their life is to go to the battlefield and fight for the country once. They are also selfish and have their own temper and feelings. Because of family hatred, they disregard the rules of war and shoot dead soldiers who fetch water. The reason is very simple "deep hatred". The German troops were mobilized in front of the station, and everyone looked forward to another continent that could be reached after winning the battle. There was good wine, food and beauty, and there was no heroic impulse. It was these ordinary desires that motivated the German soldiers to fight. The shot Russian lay on the ground, muttering "Mom...". Exhausted Germans yearn for the heat of Africa in icy Russia. This is a person's most direct instinct, also called desire, also called human nature.

The film depicts a picture of various states in the war through the "flickering" lens of the battle. To overthrow the traditional blind praise, human nature is not perfect. How can there be something that stays the same? "Concave and convex", this is the normal state of human nature.
