(First time writing a movie review, don’t spray if you don’t like it)
As a companion piece to "Mission", the director draws on some classic plots of "Mission" in the plot, picture and atmosphere rendering. It is indeed an excellent pet family drama. But "Cui Hao's poem is on the top", since there is a very classic "mission", no matter how good a similar movie is, it will appear full of flaws, and this movie is like that.
In terms of the plot, it is also "the way home", and it is also the first-person perspective of pets. One focuses on the spiritual "pursuit", while the other focuses on the actual "return". In its sense, "pursuit" may appear The harder and deeper it is, the deeper the themes expressed by the film will be. As for the portrayal of the "return journey", the film also did not achieve the perfect connection between the front and back and layers of depth, which seemed a bit scribbled and procrastinated. The description of the difficulties in the "return journey" was not deep enough, and the characters encountered on the way were also portrayed. It's not complete enough (I always feel that the whole movie only has bad people in Dover City and everyone else is good, which is a bit fake), and the lack of difficulty in the return journey directly led to the lack of emotion in the emotional part at the end.
On the screen, the film is indeed realistic. At the same time, the change of the tone of the screen in different time periods is also the highlight of the film. The special effects are also very delicate. People who have passed are complimented. (But the fly in the ointment is that there are some frame drops when the picture moves. It should be a hardware problem in the cinema, which does not affect everyone's viewing.)
There are some mixed themes, including family, friendship, and human affection. The director is obviously trying his best to connect multiple emotions, but he still doesn't do his best. The multiple emotions seem a bit messy and not very appealing.
All in all, it's a good family movie, and it's very touching, but due to some of its own flaws and the suppression of the "mission" aura, Samsung is more fair.
(Again: the publisher is a middle school student, with limited vision and strength, don’t spray if you don’t like it)
