This is the setting of traditional romance films.
But Yao Qi did not kill Tian Ji'an, she had made it clear early in the morning that she had benevolence and righteousness in her heart.
The children in front of me are so cute, and now I think about the peace of the people of Wei.
She gave up killing Tian Ji'an, but only saw the struggle between Tian Yuan and the two clans, and was driven by the general trend of the court.
In the original script, Yao Qi was enlightened by her mother, and pointed out the dispute between the princess and the Taoist princess, and she was as smart as Tian Ji'an, and she also used the conversation with Yuan Shi to "sound the east and strike the west" to clear up the matter of burying Qiu Jiang alive in her early years. These two omissions are not mentioned in the film and need to be read.
And she saved Hu Ji, probably because of the sentence "I'm not worth it for Yao Qi". In the original script, a fatal blow for Hu Ji to block the air and the sorcerer was superfluous.
On closer inspection, this matter has nothing to do with Feng Yue.
There is love, but it is not between Zhang Zhen and Shu Qi, not between Tian Ji'an and Yao Qi.
Love is between Tian Yuanshi and Tian Ji'an, and between Yao Qi and the mirror-wearing boy.
Two of my favorite scenes:
Tian Yuanshi's answer to Tian Ji'an, I know it; the
young man wearing the mirror put his hand on the injured Qi Qi's shoulder.
Tian Yuanshi's setting is very strange. She is also a killer. Her neat skills and ruthless moves don't match her face that is still a girl even if she becomes a woman.
This is probably the first time I saw Zhou Yun in front of the camera without a smile.
The pretty golden mask, like her marriage and seemingly happy life, locks the real her inside.
She killed Yao Qi, of course, because this woman wanted to kill her husband, but she felt hatred when she mentioned the woman in black twice.
The original script recorded that before Yao Qi left, he once kicked Cuju into Yuanshi's tent, a gesture of putting people to death, but only recorded Yao Qi's hatred, not the fear and hatred of the young Yuanshi.
She and Tian Ji'an used to be a pair of beautiful people in the eyes of everyone. Of course, she should have understood early on that this was a political marriage. Tian Ji'an betrayed Yao Qi and married her in order to take over Wei Daquan. After that, it was a long-term check and balance. And the game, including the birth of a child.
But for a woman to give birth to 3 children for a man, this marriage must not only be a game of interests.
Every time Tian Ji'an came, she would call out the child first, which was a gesture of affection, pity, and protection. Her face was always calm and unwavering, but her heart should be very helpless.
I only remember that there was a scene where before Tian Ji'an came, there was a lot of space to show the process of Yuanshi's makeup.
Tian Ji'an came and went quickly, having an unhappy conversation, and then the maid continued to apply makeup for Yuanshi, a pair of beautiful earrings, which she put on with extremely slow and firm gestures.
The gentleman is the one who pleases himself, but what?
It was his wife and husband Mu Cong who stood out, but he didn't expect it. He is the most like a ranger in the whole film. As soon as he appeared on the stage, his expression was rare and even the music became lively.
Nie Yinniang should have the same feeling to him.
She left when she was most desperate and hurt, and when she came back, she found that the world would be no different without her.
Many people should not understand the story told by the princess, the woman in palace dress who was playing the zheng in the yard.
"King Jibin got a luan, but he didn't make a sound for three years. The lady said: 'I heard that when the luan saw the class, it sounded, so why not hang a mirror to look at it.'
Qingluan is the princess, and also Nie Yinniang.
It was not her wish to keep killing people, but it was fate.
But the mirror-grinding boy is different. He really meets by chance and draws a knife to help him when he sees injustice. His kung fu is not a way of killing people. His main business is grinding mirrors, which is a very ranger setting.
A paragraph was deleted from the original script, telling the story of the mirror and the pregnant wife who stayed in a foreign country. The mirror is a magic weapon for illuminating demons in troubled times, and it is also a concern for his wife. Nie Yinniang, who had only experienced betrayal, had probably never seen love from beginning to end.
In a conversation for healing in the cave, Nie Yinniang told the young man about Qingluan, another story related to the mirror. This is her stubborn and few words, and she never wanted to talk to anyone, but the young man understood, no Hugs and kisses, only restrained and warm comfort, he gently placed his hand on Nie Yinniang's smooth and beautiful shoulder.
Supporting each other in difficult times and falling in love with each other may still be irrelevant, but we can walk together.
Hu Ji is beautiful, compassionate, smart and loving. She and Tian Ji'an are a perfect match. What a boring couple, even Zhang Zhen's face can't be saved.
Does Tian Ji'an love Yao Qi? Maybe, once, he was in love when he promised Yu Jue to Yao Qi, but now, speaking of the phoenix-like girl in his memory, he was in love, she represented the beauty and freedom that he yearned for but could not achieve. However, when he helped Hu Ji up and turned around and slashed at Nie Yinniang without hesitation, he didn't love her. He is just a secular king, a concubine, who wants to hold power and strive to balance the court. His greatest ego is to fight against the court to win greater power.
He and Nie Yinniang, or even the Yuan clan, were not the same.
Yuanshi is also an eagle in the sky. He fell into the nest, gave birth to children for him, and was treated with indifference by him all his life. He loved him and could not speak to others for the rest of his life.
Do Qi Qi love Tian Ji'an? Love! Otherwise, it will not be sent back to Yujue to show that it will be cut in two, otherwise it will not be observed in the dark all the time. In Tian's memory, she loved him deeply.
The human world is naturally infatuated, so why is it related to Fengyue?
This is where the story ends.
Many people said that they couldn't understand why Yao Qi went far away with the mirror-grinding boy and the herbalist in the end; the script and the movie had a lot of differences, making the movie incomplete.
But the unconventional nature of director Hou Hsiao-hsien lies in the blankness in this romantic background.
He never planned to make a real martial arts film, or a martial arts film in popular perception. If you look at this film as a documentary, it may be better. Of course, this is actually a Prose of nowhere, or short song.
Of course, everything can be explained clearly. You go to the script, and the comings and goings are very clearly explained. His script is more like a novel. There are no pictures, but Zhu Tianwen and Acheng are telling you a story, character and background. It's all in dialogue, and it would be very boring if it was all put on the big screen.
The director's shots are calm and restrained, and the restraint is a little too much. Except for the light and shadow changes, even the slightest changes are not used. This is the reason why many people fall asleep watching it. From the perspective of passers-by, it looks too much like watching, that story buried in the dust of history. To a certain extent, it is very similar to Mr. Ozu's film, a very life-like record.
Ordinary movies, if there is no very direct display purpose, will not use so many ambient sounds, but when you listen to this film, the voices of cicadas are like every movie directed by the director in memory, very Taiwanese, very Hou Hsiao-hsien, Even very Japanese. It doesn't matter so much whether it's an ancient costume or not, but the words he wants to say have changed the stage.
There are few lines, but the meaning is there, and it doesn't matter if you almost don't understand it. Those who understand will naturally understand, and those who don't understand will just watch the fun. It would be great if the text and white were not mixed up so well.
The music is fantastic, every piece is good.
Yinghe disappeared in the wind with the classic and bagpipes, the story of the Tang Dynasty Ranger.
Storytellers don't care about the wind and moon, and people who read stories are infatuated.
