The most depressing thing is not that the truth is revealed, but that the truth is clearly in front of you, but you refuse to believe it. However, no matter how beautiful the story is, it cannot change the truth that suppresses evil. It was as if Jennifer told herself and Bill that they were in love, but her body would react in the most authentic way. Childhood nightmares will only fall asleep and never die. This is my deepest thought after watching this movie. Middle-aged Jennifer has a decent job, a stable boyfriend, and is about to get married. She seems to have a peaceful and perfect life. If it weren't for the phone call from her mother, if it wasn't for the letter, maybe her life would have been spent in such a safe and sound way, burying the darkness and pain of the past in a certain corner of her memory. From this point of view, this letter is like Pandora's Box. Because of its appearance, Jennifer's life began to be turbulent, and she had to recall the memory that was deliberately forgotten and beautified. However, without this letter, would the middle-aged Jennifer not relive that memory again? I don't think so. Perhaps, one day in the future, she will recall everything at a sudden moment because of any small event, and then fall into confusion and pain. Because the memory has never disappeared, it just dormant quietly, waiting for the moment to wake up. However, it is obvious at a glance, and anyone who hears it will have a reaction. Only Jennifer, the protagonist, defends: We are in love. He loves me. It was he who broke down, not me...A surprising response, thoughtful but plausible. That little girl, who is a little introverted, is about to grow into an adult but has not yet grown into an adult. When she longs to be seen by the people around her from the eyes of adults, and longs to stand on an equal footing with adults, she happens to be around. Two people appeared, perfect and "respecting" the two adults they wanted. Why is it not exciting? Every step, every choice, in the eyes of the little girl, was made by herself. As an adult, she should take the same responsibility as an adult. So, how can she say that she was deceived by the perfect adult in her heart? So she created such a beautiful story, deceived the people who listened to the story, and also deceived herself. However, she forgot that she was actually just a little girl. Every choice she thinks she makes is guided, but she doesn't know it. The little girl is right, she is still too young to know that there is a kind of malice in the world, and it is with a smile.
