Do children understand love?

In those cases where minors were molested and sexually assaulted, did those children think they were in a relationship?

Are the touches and kisses of adults regarded as expressions of love by children?

Will the victimized children suffer?

The film "Letterhead Stories" is adapted from the personal experience of director Jennifer Fox, telling the world of adults as a 13-year-old victim girl:

No matter how beautifully disguised, the damage still exists.

Jennifer wrote a story when she was 13 years old. She told others that the story was entirely made up by her. Then she sealed her memory about this incident, and at the same time deceived herself, she was in a relationship, but the other party was a little older.

At the age of 48, Jennifer's mother found the story in the storage room, along with correspondence between the client and Jennifer.

The grown-up Jennifer looked at the girl Jennifer, and finally began to doubt whether there was a secret behind the first love she had sworn to believe.

13-year-old Jennifer was sent by her parents to trainer Jane's house to train equestrian with a group of children. Bill is the track and field coach for the kids.

Bill was over forty years old, and he and Jane had an extramarital affair.

Bill is the "hunter", Jane is the "hound", and children, like Jennifer, are the "prey".

Under their deception, the innocent "prey" mistakenly believed that they were loved, understood, and recognized, and stepped into the trap step by step, and finally were sexually assaulted.

Jennifer, 48, has become an excellent documentary filmmaker and professor, with a vision and a strong heart.

But facing her mother and her boyfriend, she did not admit that she was a victim.

From choosing to forget, to forcing herself to regain her memory, to admitting that she is a victim, Jennifer has experienced pain that we can't imagine over and over again.

In her search for the truth, Jennifer is perpetually hesitant. She was confused by her forgetfulness of the details of the matter, and she was even more afraid of the blood dripping after the truth was revealed.

This time, we face the harm caused by underage indecent sexual assault from the self-analysis of a strong victim.

According to data released by the Supreme People's Court, from 2013 to 2016, there were 10,782 cases of child molestation heard and concluded by courts across the country , an average of more than 7 cases per day. According to the statistics of the non- profit organization "Girl Protection" over the years, the proportion of acquaintances committing crimes is about 70% , and the highest is 87.87% in 2014 . "2018 Statistics: Child molestation, an average of 7 cases per day! "Sina

How can we protect children?

The parents in the movie "Letterhead Stories" are clearly unqualified.

Jennifer and Bill were seen kissing on the doorstep of their house. Granny said she would tell Jennifer's parents, but she didn't.

Bill picks her up at Jennifer's house and prepares gifts for her parents.

Jennifer's mother felt that something was wrong, but her father thought it was okay, and the couple chose to ignore all the signs.

Jennifer's family has many siblings, her father is very busy with work, and her mother and grandmother are still too busy to take care of a group of children.

Jennifer's feelings have been ignored by her family and she yearns for recognition.

Children can be strong.

They will choose to close their memories to protect themselves when they are hurt, and they will also choose to flee before more serious damage comes.

They can stand strong against injury and grow into a truly strong person.

Children are also very vulnerable.

They are sensitive and insecure, and some small feelings that their parents have not paid attention to are infinitely magnified.

And indelible trauma may also turn them from victim to perpetrator.

In the abyss we can't see, there will always be demons reaching out to the good world.

Child sexual abuse is ubiquitous, unpredictable, and requires no reason.

Those imprints will stay with these children for the rest of their lives.

To protect our future, we must rely on the deterrence of more effective laws, more popular sex education for children, and the joint efforts of more careful guardians.

We can't stop the breeding of evil, but we must stop the spread of evil.

We can't heal all wounds, but we can prevent them from happening.
