I didn't understand at first why it was called the "Trilogy of Memories", it seemed like three completely unrelated stories. But if I follow the "memory" line of thinking, I still found my own answer. If it weren't for "Memories", the order of the three books should be reversed - the human beings in the totalitarian system poured all their energy into the war - to create dangerous weapons that they are afraid of (or that they become fearful weapons of terror) )—the good memories of the lackluster apocalypse are like a delicate rose, only once opened.
This flashback technique is, in my opinion, the author's greatest success, putting the incredible reality in front of the audience and then unraveling the mystery and explaining why we got this far. I believe that people who have lived under a totalitarian system will be touched.
In other words, the author remembers from the perspective of human destruction.
