2. Commonality
All three short films have one thing in common and reflect: the essence of mind control. The results are mostly pain and misfortune, bringing the viewers empathic memories: Have you ever seen someone around you who has a strong desire to control love? Have you been told to do this at work, but were ordered to do it? Do you remember what the US military did in Okinawa? Do you remember the darkness before the Berlin Wall and the numbness of people in "The Wiretap"? Do you still remember the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere, an atrocity of militarism from material aggression to spiritual assimilation?
Short film 1: Madam Butterfly has a strong desire to control Carlo, making Carlo only a slave of love and losing his personality. At the same time, it emphasizes a kind of mental control by giving people the illusion of seeing what they want.
Short film 2: The typical thinking of obeying the orders of superiors, giving up one's own personality, and risking death; description of the relationship between the United States and Japan; the United States cannot protect Japan.
Short film 3: Typical of the Cold War, there is no actual fire, but every day is to fire on the spirit; can't listen to the music helmet, because after listening to "music", you can't hear the "sound of the cannon", and you can't hear "for the city, Fire every day" propaganda.
