It has been in my favorites for a long time, and I just finished chasing it recently.
The different practices of the three women lead to the different endings of the three marriages. I think Ann has the biggest change in character from finding out that her husband cheated on her and choosing to design and kill Rob, from a housewife who tenderly waits for her husband's return to a woman who encourages her friends to stick to their dreams. She once thought that she could save her husband by making changes. She tried new hairstyles and new styles, and tried to learn xxx in order to please her husband, but these could not save Rob, the derailed bastard, she thought it was because of her own It was a mistake that led to the death of her daughter. I didn't expect that it was just her husband's lie to cover up the truth of his cheating. When she learned the truth, she chose to destroy everything. Without a bad husband, everything ushered in a new life. Beth finally gained a good friend and a daughter, from a housewife to an independent woman.
My favorite in the play is simone. Although she is a bit exaggerated and pretentious, and she is particularly afraid of losing face in front of her friends, she is also the most confident, firm, and the person with her own ideas, who dares to love and hate. Before karl found out that he was ill, they were more like an open marriage that I understood. They had their own lovers, but she and karl also loved each other. Sexual orientation makes them not really lovers, but they are true lovers in soul. After learning about Karl's illness, she stayed by Karl's side firmly, and sold all the paintings to treat the illness. The setting of this character really struck me. Including her love with Tom many years later, "My face is still on his butt", the arrogant little expression is really cute, and the handsome guy who helped her carry her luggage at the end should also be her lover hahahaha .
The third pair of Eli and Taylor is not as exciting as the first two pairs, but the shaping of bad seed jade is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Jade is a born criminal. She stole the money of two adoptive parents and seduced the husband of the third adoptive mother. Yes, do whatever it takes to survive. Originally, I thought that the open marriage of eli and Taylor would be much more exciting, but maybe it was too exciting at the beginning, so this pair is not as obvious as the first two pairs in the subsequent growth. In the end, Taylor and Eli sold the big house and returned to their previous apartment to rehabilitate, choosing to end the open marriage and refocus on the relationship between the two.
