Thanks to my classmates

I gave it five stars without hesitation, because the male protagonist's troubles have been haunting me. I am ready to write full of negative energy.

I don't think the male protagonist can make peace with his jealousy in the end. The so-called answer (music) at the end is really scribbled, how long will this painkiller last? Can it last until tomorrow morning? I am absolutely pessimistic about the weaknesses of human nature, they come from a long evolution, torture people, but improve the probability of survival. The theme of the film is one of them: the sense of competition.

Life doesn't mean that lose to nature can find peace. Even if you figure out that it's good to be alive at least, everything will repeat, because you will still see and hear other people's lives. Friendship will help you. Don't have a circle of friends? It's okay, a friend will tell you. no friends? It doesn't matter, TV will tell you what the best life is and how bad your life is.

It's not a midlife crisis, it's a middle class crisis. At the moment I am not hopeless, all thanks to my classmates. Thank you for not being so good and making me burn with envy.

Brad's Status quotes

  • Brad Sloan: [narrating] Her friend, Maya was equally captivating, equally compelling. I suddenly felt a deep grief... for all the women I would never love and all the lives I would never live. I imaging running away with them both and starting again and what that might look like.

  • Troy Sloan: When we were walking around today and you embarrassing me, I kept thinking, like, you know, if I go to this school, everybody here's gonna remember this and I'm never gonna live this down. But... you know, they're not gonna remember. Because, everybody's just thinking about themselves. You know? Nobody cares. Like, the only person that's thinking about you, is me, so... the only person's opinion that you should really care about is mine.

Brad Sloan: Yeah. What's your opinion?

Troy Sloan: Well, I love you.

    Brad Sloan: Thank you.
