Mo Di is really the best movie I've seen so far this year.
The story line is very complete. There is no special technique, but it is enough to finish the story directly. There are not many main characters involved, only Mo Di, Ayfried, and their friend Sandra. Stories are also a theme in life. but showed enough of life's bitterness, happiness, turning points, and blandness.
Modi and Afried are mutually redeemed. They have complementary personalities and complementary lifestyles. In fact, no one is inseparable from each other. However, Mo Di clearly understood this first, and Afried felt his love for Mo Di much later. When he was stubborn but still installed screen windows; when he couldn't stand Mo Di's nagging about his daughter but finally took her to see her from a distance; he finally felt his sincerity. Although Mo Di seems to be weak and unable to be independent, she does not have a body that can move normally, and she does not have the IQ that supports her to do more mentally, but in fact, her heart is extremely strong. She feels all the things and feelings in the world tenderly and delicately and writes them down. She expresses what she sees with the brightest colors and touches all things with the most delicate and patient brushstrokes. And I believe that it was these artistic qualities of hers that gave her the confidence to leave her aunt's house and find a place to rest alone, and it was also the source of her tenderness that she finally came back to see her aunt, who claimed to no longer look at her. "I don't want to say goodbye to her before she leaves."
She has always been independent, not attached to anyone. Even though her husband is extremely macho, she is not submissive. She would demand wages from her employer, leave her husband after being ignored, and go to a friend's house even with a limp.
God always fills up some skills in a person and ignores others. No one is perfect, maybe. Mo Di's flaw is reflected in his physiology, whereas some people's flaws are reflected in their inner selves. As for me, I am more envious of Mo Di's richness. Just like when Shawshank was locked up, she would not be lonely if she had Beethoven's company in her head. She spends a whole day alone in a cabin by the secluded road. God, but she has paint and brushes and windows, and she's not alone at all.
After she left, even though the couple were known to people thousands of miles away, Ayfried still lived simply by the highway in a small town without wires, accompanied by dogs, chickens, forests, and paintings left by Mo Di. It's like just taking back the billboard and starting a person's life in general.
The texture of this film is also quite appealing to me. He created a normal and reassuring atmosphere everywhere he went. Mo Di adds flowers to the windows on a cloudy day, and the light spreads on the paint; Mo Di sits at the door stroking the dog's head; Ayfried drives from the end of the road in the evening; Ayfried assists in action on a snowy day. It was inconvenient for Mo Di to walk in the thick snow... When Afried retracted the advertising board at the door and closed the wooden door full of flowers, I couldn't relax for a long time, only indulging in all the art created by Mo Di. Indulge in the four seasons of this seaside town, this clean sky and clean people. The kerosene lamp is still standing on the wooden table, the dog is still at the door, Ayfried will still sleep in the dilapidated attic, the sky is still dark, but Mo Di is gone...
