I personally like the movie very much, the picture is beautiful, the story is very warm, and it shows his unusual family from the perspective of a young boy.
One of my favorite parts is that in the eyes of the child, the parents passed by in the corridor after the conflict, and the two of them touched their hands lightly, as if they exchanged some secret secrets, with a tactful and moving beauty; then It was Spivey looking through the diary of the mother he smuggled away on the train, which recorded his mother's contradictory mentality. Spivey shed tears while watching, but did not look back; finally, it was Spivey who saw him during the recording of the show. When he arrived at his mother, he graciously picked him up and left the strange adult world.
Although the whole movie develops the plot based on Speyway's road to accepting the award, in fact, the theme of the movie has always been family. Spivey lost his younger brother because of the fire of the gun, and the whole family fell into great sadness. In this environment, the little boy unconsciously attributed the mistake to himself, and subconsciously looked for all kinds of clues in his life that his parents blamed him. Parents indulging in grief did not feel the same feelings for their sons, which led to Speyway finally choosing to leave when he had the opportunity to escape. Fortunately, in the end, the boy finally got the forgiveness of his own soul, and the parents also realized the guilt in the boy's heart and untied his knot.
