after watching

all i can do

1. Be careful with pets. If it is raised, it must be sterilized as soon as possible.

2. The next time I see clean and packaged pieces of meat in the supermarket, I will remind myself of the slaughterhouse in the film, so as not to waste it. It is impossible to be completely vegetarian, I just hope that the animals and plants sacrificed because of me can be used to the best of their ability and not wasted.

3. Don't buy or wear expensive fur. It is understandable that humans have a history of picking up animal skins to keep warm when they drink blood. Eat its meat and wear its skin, that's right. Foxes don't eat meat, so they can't wear their fur; if beef is eaten, the hide must be used.

4. Animal experiments, useless experiments The animals used are unnecessary, but what kind of experiments are useless, this is not something I can judge;

5. Only go to the safari park, put humans in cages and install motors, and chug to see hippos and rhinos bathing in river water and drying them with the wind. This is interesting. Do not listen to or watch the entertainment of teasing other creatures, such as bullfighting in the circus aquarium. Humans should have a noble heart of compassion.

The proverbs in the film are used just right and can be copied and used later.

As a documentary, the picture quality is not good; most of the shots are fragments, not the full story; there are a few scenes that cause strong discomfort, and it does not feel enough for the sensual foreshadowing. I couldn't eat the meal after watching the film because I felt sick to my stomach, not because I felt "I shouldn't eat it".

Earthlings quotes

  • [first lines]

    title card: earth-ling n. - One who inhabits the earth.

    Narrator: Since we all inhabit the earth, we are all considered earthlings. There is no sexism, racism, or speciesism in the term 'earthling'. It encompasses each and every one of us: warm- or cold-blooded, mammal, vertebrate or invertebrate, bird, reptile, amphibian, fish and human alike.

  • Narrator: It is the human earthling who tends to dominate the earth, oftentimes treating other fellow earthlings and living beings as mere objects. This is what is meant by 'speciesism'. By analogy with racism and sexism, speciesism is a prejudice or attitude or bias in favor of the interests of the members of one's own species and against those of members of other species.
