I remember that once I accidentally touched a pot of chicken neck that had not been stewed in water. That feeling is unforgettable to this day. Haven't eaten chicken neck yet. That day, I suddenly realized that the meat I have been eating is the corpse, the corpse of an animal.

In my opinion, there is no need to overdo it and advocate vegetarianism for all. The law of survival is nature's law of survival. First, it is unrealistic for people to be vegetarian. Second, because humans are omnivores, vegetarianism will inevitably lead to the disorder of the ecological chain. However, what we need to think about and reflect on is the attitude towards all living beings. We need to realize that we and animals live on earth as equals, we are all citizens of the planet. Feeding animals, yes, I think it's normal, but not all animals should be eaten. Of course, I do know the paradox in my own mind. I don't know what meat should be eaten and what meat should not be eaten. But at least I know that, aside from food, entertainment and clothing are completely unnecessary. Always hated the vibe of the zoo. I am ashamed that I have seen a dolphin show once, and there will never be another time in the future. The absolutely unfair competitive activities such as bullfighting are no different from the barbaric activities carried out in the ancient Roman Colosseum.

After watching this film, what you should think about is that if you start from the small things around you, you can truly appreciate and care for animals from the bottom of your heart. How to live in true harmony with animals on earth and enjoy the gifts of nature together.

Earthlings quotes

  • [first lines]

title card: earth-ling n. - One who inhabits the earth.

Narrator: Since we all inhabit the earth, we are all considered earthlings. There is no sexism, racism, or speciesism in the term 'earthling'. It encompasses each and every one of us: warm- or cold-blooded, mammal, vertebrate or invertebrate, bird, reptile, amphibian, fish and human alike.

  • Narrator: It is the human earthling who tends to dominate the earth, oftentimes treating other fellow earthlings and living beings as mere objects. This is what is meant by 'speciesism'. By analogy with racism and sexism, speciesism is a prejudice or attitude or bias in favor of the interests of the members of one's own species and against those of members of other species.
