How cruel are humans

With the expansion of material desires in today's era, human beings do have enough time and energy to show their cruelty. According to incomplete statistics, the total number of animals slaughtered every day in the world is about 120 million. It's hard for me to imagine what it's like to add up to 120 million daily sufferings, but the growing meat-eating culture is really contributing to the slaughtering numbers. So it became more and more difficult for me to imagine how cruel human beings are?
The cruelty of meat-eating culture mainly has the following four aspects: first, the scale of human slaughter of animals is really rare; second, people are very cruel when slaughtering livestock; Very cruel. These are available in documentaries like Earth Citizen, Dolphin Cove, and Food Company.
For most people, the massacre of animals may not be seen with their own eyes, but no kind of slaughter can escape the essence of slaughter. Where there is a slaughterhouse, there is a battlefield where there is change! We all shriek when we rub our flesh, and what kind of pain are animals that have their throats cut off and their flesh skinned raw? Even if we have made some attempts to reduce the suffering of carnivores, how many of those methods of slaughter that cost more human and financial resources are actually used; have we really thought about what these partners in nature with us are? Not born to be slaves to us humans. Earth's law of the jungle is some of the reasons why we do these things, and the flesh and blood of animals that feed our bodies is one reason for the Holocaust. But our appetites have grown, and the slaughter has grown; at the same time, countless farms and the constant moaning of pain that accompanies the animals throughout their lives. We ignored the former without any hesitation, but also cruelly ignored the latter. Maybe this is the real cruelty of human beings!
In an increasingly absurd world, we keep corrupting our souls and trying to realize a dream is not worth the gain, so I suggest that you might as well stop and think about what your actions are and how cruel you are!

Earthlings quotes

  • [first lines]

title card: earth-ling n. - One who inhabits the earth.

Narrator: Since we all inhabit the earth, we are all considered earthlings. There is no sexism, racism, or speciesism in the term 'earthling'. It encompasses each and every one of us: warm- or cold-blooded, mammal, vertebrate or invertebrate, bird, reptile, amphibian, fish and human alike.

  • Narrator: It is the human earthling who tends to dominate the earth, oftentimes treating other fellow earthlings and living beings as mere objects. This is what is meant by 'speciesism'. By analogy with racism and sexism, speciesism is a prejudice or attitude or bias in favor of the interests of the members of one's own species and against those of members of other species.
