Long story short , the reason why the American producer made a Chinese martial arts movie is to break into the Chinese market and open up new genres. With so many Chinese elements, I think it's okay! At least it looks better than Comrade Lao Yuan's "Su Beggar" (although the scene is still too Hongda...) and the details are also well done.
