Genius Editors and Genius Writers

Let's talk about the similar title "Good Will Hunting" from 1997's "Good Will Hunting". It was originally the protagonist's name, and the translated name is amazing. Robin Williams, Matt Damon and Ben Afflett starred in a touching work reflecting the relationship between teachers and students. Of course, the latter two were still quite young at that time.

The translation of "Genius" into "Genius Catcher" is estimated to be due to the fact that the protagonists are also relatively opposite, so a similar translation is adopted.

The role of screenwriters has appeared in many film and television works. In Hollywood, there have also been collective strikes by screenwriters. For literary editors, there are very few appearances, and even documentaries are rarely involved.

The story begins with the editor's drastic deletion of the writer's debut novel, the editor's delicacy and ruthlessness, and the writer's talent and romance are vividly reflected. When it comes to the daily interaction between editors and writers, the two are the same in their pursuit of excellence in their works, their devotion to work, their prudence in literature, and their dullness in life. They are both bookworms. Halfway through, I realized that the editor was actually the editor of Fitzgerald and Hemingway, which shocked me.

When it comes to storytelling, the conflict between the editor and the author is fully reflected, but the author's final turn is a little caught off guard.

After watching this film, I actually didn't put that book on my book list, I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing. The question raised in the borrowed film is whether the editor discovered the author, or whether the editor borrowed the author to speak for himself.

Finally, there is also a beautiful Nicole Kidman in the film.
