A little memory about the 2014 SAT cheating incident

The following is not a film review, but my thoughts on the sensational SAT cheating incident.

I've been thrilled to hear this year that there's a great Thai movie based on the 2014 mass cheating on the SAT in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2014, I took two SAT exams in Singapore. The people around me are all going abroad, so I have heard a little about cheating on the SAT in the past few years. Cheating on the SAT is not news, it's old news. My seniors experienced getting a small note with the composition questions of the day before entering the test room, and my juniors and juniors experienced flying to Hong Kong, got up early and rushed to the test room and were told that the test was cancelled and had to switch from SAT to ACT Re-exams, etc.
Today I finally went to see this movie and remembered many bits and pieces of that year.

That cheating scandal should have been the biggest event of the year in the study abroad circle at the time, but after all, the SAT is only an exam for applying to American universities, so it won't make much waves in China. When the large-scale cheating incident in 2014 was revealed, outsiders may not realize it, but the bureau was already bloody. I remember that at that time, most, or even all, of the examination rooms in South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam and other places were cancelled. I went to Singapore and was lucky to be one of the few people in Asia to be pardoned.

(Of course, with my grades, I was canceled, maybe at least I still have the face to go home to meet my parents...)

Several years have passed, I vaguely remember that the SAT test was before the college application ED/AD (that is, By applying in advance to show loyalty to the school, expressing that I must be yours, to improve your chances of entering dream school) The deadline is very near, and the fate of many people has changed because of this. Some are karma, and some are disasters. Sometimes I think, those who have become winners in life by cheating, will they feel even a little bit of unease in their hearts when they dream back in the middle of the night?

I hope the answer and the real answer, I am afraid it is difficult to be the same.
