In today's increasingly enlightened society, the emotions of people on the fringes are getting more and more attention. The transition from discrimination to equal treatment also represents the progress of a society and a country. Giving them help and encouragement is also the greatest respect of all people for love. The film tells the story of Lawrence facing himself calmly and looking for true love after following his inner will for many years to change, and presents the audience with a vivid, three-dimensional and highly individualized marginal character image. Xavier Dolan gave Lawrence an ordinary character from his unique perspective, and vividly portrayed the entanglement and contradiction in the character's heart. Director Dolan's films are accustomed to telling stories in slow speed, and every frame of footage has become an unbearable beauty under the editor's hands. The longer duration than ordinary movies can not only show more details, but also express the inner suffering of the protagonist. Lawrence's life has changed dramatically because of the revealing of his true character. The abandonment of the family and the company made Lawrence fall from a stable social position in an instant, but at first, the persistence of his girlfriend gave Lawrence great encouragement and support again. Deranged gender exists in the normal body to form a distorted emotion, but in fact this emotion is common to all people. People are always accustomed to looking for the extremes of marginal characters, but they ignore the same emotions and personalities as ordinary people. The director did not vindicate the marginal characters, but only expressed their real life through the artistic means of the film. Lawrence's feathered earrings in the film symbolize angel wings, highlighting both the feminine features of his character and the pure angelic love he seeks. The persistence of his girlfriend to the point of being shaken and eventually parting ways, brought up twists and turns to Lawrence, but in the end, the relationship between the two ended in the autumn. The wrong seeds are planted from the beginning, and one day they will sprout. The chaotic love isolates the two people from reality, making the audience sigh the twists and turns of the protagonist's love.

The last one of this film festival. The legendary Canadian Wong Kar Wai, the picture music is extremely beautiful, and I quite like the kind of deliberate over the top. Literary and artistic youth is just for writing! Put a touch of powder on your white wall tiles. . . There was a quarrel line that was "I'm not your groupie!" The audience was just me, barefoot and Cha Cha laughed three times. .

If all encounters are reunion after a long absence, then all breakups are destined to flee. An over-saturated film: colors, voices, music, lines, emotions... all full of uncontrollability. But are the lyrical passages in the slideshow style related to the characters? Or the director's groan? Ironically, the best shot was exactly the silent minute when the costume appeared in class on the first day. The characters are so ugly that they can't bear to look directly at them.

Laurence Anyways quotes

  • Fred Bellair: You have crossed the borders of my life, of my town, of my street. All that's left is my front door. I think you know where to find me.

  • Journaliste: What are you looking for Laurence Alia?

Laurence Alia: I'm looking for a person, who understands my language and speaks it. A person who, without being a pariah, will question not only the rights and the value of the marginalized, but also those of the people who claim to be normal.
