Leaving aside the appearance of Jane Eyre for a while, this is the best version in my opinion. Joan Fontaine's Jane Eyre is too beautiful, and Jean often ignores Jane Eyre's personality in the original work, bold, independent, neither humble nor arrogant, 2011 edition Jane Eyre is completely commercialized, and the essence of the original book has been deviated. Rochester's uncertain personality, arrogance and the desperation of carrying secrets do not seem to be reflected. Of course, it presents us with a most affectionate Rochester, and Toby's Rochester is similar. In comparison, I want to see Edward Rochester the most. His struggles, his uncertain temper, sometimes restless and sometimes quiet, even if he doesn't have a good appearance, he has unreserved confidence and arrogance. . . It is precisely because there is no Rochester in the original book that we are more concerned about the charm of his own personality.
