Far away, 7 points. Honey, 8 points. Universe, 9 points. I am no stranger to Turkish cinema due to the Turkish Film Festival at Broadway Cinematheque, and in 2011 I wrote a micro-review of every screened film.

It's not that Far Away is not good enough, but that there are Turkish films that are better than it.

Let’s talk about why the distance is 1 point higher than Paradise Cinema. Just like looking at pictures of beautiful women, I hate to see that the pictures have been edited, the movie can't make me feel flattering and craftsmanship.

But why didn't Yuan Fang get 9 points? I'm a photographer, and I see better. Because this film still lacks the joy of photographers, even if it is to have fun, after all, photographers still belong to the relatively "live" crowd. Other life emotions are also there, and they are all real but not excessive, but compared to "Cosmos", a film that made me feel more deeply, more heart-wrenching and more primitive and wild, the distance is weak. Even compared to honey, the distance is just scratching the surface. In other words, the distance may reach 8 points, but it will never be matched with 9 points.

Where does it look good in the distance? annoy me. All the movies that annoyed me showed that I was in the movie, and that was the case in the distance. A 1-point hypnotist doesn't let me have any emotions at all, and I still watch it with a beautiful woman. Similar to the life clip of the police diary, there are emotions and details in the distance, conflicts are undercurrent, leaving room for aftertaste and thinking, which may be difficult to get used to after watching fast food blockbusters such as Nolan's Batman. Instead of looking forward to what's going to happen next, you see what's going on next and think about what's going on - what a fun process it is, but only if you get used to it.

Is there any other possible way of expressing the same story? impossible. Because of other fast-paced, accessible techniques, the inner struggle that this film was meant to express is gone. There is no core movie, it is a soap opera, and you forget it after watching the music.
