Taken for the original party

This is the second installment of my personal Beauty and the Beast.

The first one is the American version, so let me compare the two films.

First is the picture. The dance and costumes of both are very beautiful!

The American version is closer to the animated version, very restored, so even the beasts become cute.

The French version of the clothing and style are very feel. The whole movie is like a story set in a very, very old era, as if that era really happened like a fairy tale. This feeling is similar to our Chinese fairy tales. It was a very magical time.

Then there are the actors.

The American version of the actors is good-looking, good in acting, and cute. (Maybe I'm preconceived, I really prefer the US version.)

The French version of the actor also has a kind of classical beauty, very oil painting~

Lastly is the plot.

The plot of the American version is a plot that children are familiar with, but the plot system of the French version is relatively large, and because I didn’t read the original book, it was a bit cloudy, but it was really beautiful.

Recommend everyone to watch the US version!

Beauty and the Beast quotes

  • Belle: God of the forest. Let me go back to him. It is my only wish. My only desire.

  • [the Beast Catches The Merchant Taking a Rose]

The Beast: My gifts were not enough for you? Do you also have to steal what I treasure most?

The Merchant: I won't be treated as a thief or a coward. I am a just and honorable man!

The Beast: Who did you pick this rose for?

The Merchant: My youngest daughter. She is worth more than anything in the world, to me.

The Beast: Then I will give you one day to say goodbye to your loved ones. You only need to whisper the words: "More than anything in the world," to your horse, and he will bring you here.

The Merchant: I will not return!

The Beast: Oh, yes you will. Otherwise, I will kill your entire family, one by one. I will kill your youngest daughter last, since she's your favorite. Remember... A life for a rose.
