The story is very interesting. It takes place in a British men's grammar high school in the 1980s. The protagonists are a group of students and their teachers who are preparing to take the Oxbridge exam.
The feature of the film is that it uses a lot of poetry and dramatic lines, plus a pure British accent, which has the charm of British classical drama. It is said that most of the actors are usually active in British stage plays, and their styles are more or less brought into the movies.
Some of the contradictions in the film are more interesting, and the teachers, students and the principal's assistant cheating with gay tendencies add fun to the otherwise boring review time. Many topics in the film involve religion and sex, so the film is rated R.
The reason I really like this movie is that they have the kind of learning environment and atmosphere. Everyone is familiar with all kinds of poems, plays and novels, has a certain understanding and insight into history and art, and can express their feelings with piano and singing. I was particularly impressed that they liked to perform scenes from classic plays in class. Can not help but think of Rowan Atkinson, is the famous Mr Bean. He loved acting when he was at Oxford and laid the foundation for his future career. It seems that the birth of Mr Bean is not accidental. With such a strong mass base, even if there is no Mr Bean, there will be Mr Bear, Mr Beer and so on.
