An interesting film about photography.

There are a couple of interesting points about movies related to photography.

1. The photographer’s perspective on the world (space in the photo)

2. The angle from which the cameraman who shot the film shot (the space in the film)

3. These two different perspectives combine the viewing angle of the audience watching the movie (reality + space in the movie)

The three spaces merge together to form an overall viewing perspective. I find it interesting.

Photographers are the eyes of the world. They take us to see what is happening in every corner of the world.

Some photographers like still images, some like moving images, but in any case, you see some scenes in this world that you will never see in your images.

I appreciate them. Because many of the photos were taken by them risking their lives. Very moving.

When looking at photos, everyone should think about where the camera is, where the photographer is standing. A different angle represents a different position. I have seen many inspiring photos from this film. Also saw a lot of exciting shooting status. I watched the picture of them rolling and crawling towards the sea lion, and then saw the picture of them taking the sea lion. Really touching.

If the world is like a delicacy, then "The Salt of the Earth" is the necessary seasoning salt. The film builds a shocking image through photos and words, giving people a real glimpse of the pulse of the earth and human beings. The film is accompanied by photography. Teacher Sebastian's camera vision not only presents the dark death of the world, but also sows the redemption of hope. Both hell and heaven exist in the world.

It is too literary, too unstructured, too loose, and it is not something that ordinary people like me can appreciate.

The Salt of the Earth quotes

  • Sebastião Salgado - Photographer: We are a ferocious animal. We humans are terrible animals. Our history is a history of wars. It's an endless story, a tale of madness.

  • Sebastião Salgado - Photographer: To think that these three-month-old trees will reach their apex in 400 years. Perhaps from there we could try to grasp the concept of eternity. Maybe eternity is measurable.
