Time to wake up.

As a gamer, I've only ever played ff7 (crisis of the core) on the psp. As a viewer, I have seen 3 and all of the Final Fantasy movies. I have to say, square is more suitable for games than movies.
Let's talk about this movie first.
On the plus side, top graphics and special effects. Characters that are almost indistinguishable from real people. And those very thoughtful fight scenes. Fist to the flesh, make people blood surging.
The bad side, 1. The old-fashioned storyline, the typical old Japanese-style rpg-style plot trend. 2. The logic is chaotic. For example, the hero was betrayed when he rescued the princess, and the members of King's Sword watched the hero kill a traitor. First, he didn't care why the hero killed his teammates, and secondly, he didn't care why the teammates attacked the hero. Instead, it's just like walking around with friends on the street. 3. Bad characterization. Take the male protagonist as an example. From the scene at the beginning of the movie, the male protagonist is an emotional person who risked his life to save his friend in front of the three-headed dog of hell. But on the spaceship, his teammate was caught by a tentacle caught by the octopus. He didn't even try to save him. He turned his head and took the princess away.
If this movie is divided into sections and put into the game for cutscenes CG, then it is very good. But as a movie, it's still a long way off. The reason square merged with enix was because he was heavily in debt for the Final Fantasy movie, but the box office was not satisfactory. In that era, a game didn't have as much appeal as it does now, and you could rely on the player's feelings and love for the game to pay for a movie that lacked core elements. After that, the final fantasy 7 Saint Child came, the release time was 2005. At this time, the ff series had accumulated enough popularity, and se wisely chose to simply sell DVDs, which made them the first time to make money in the film industry. This time at ff15, se overestimated himself again.
Movies are made of people. Whether it is a CG movie or a live-action movie, whether it is a drama movie or a sci-fi movie. People, the stories and meanings that happen between people, are the core of a movie, not the special effects and pictures. I'm not writing this review to say how bad this movie is, but to hope that everyone will watch the movie and not give up. Pay attention to the vision and lower the mind.

Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV quotes

  • Regis Lucis Caelum: Forgive my delay. A bit of unforeseen trouble.

Iedolas Aldercapt: Nothing too vexing, I hope.

Regis Lucis Caelum: A simple theft, nothing more.

Iedolas Aldercapt: A daring thief, to steal from the king. Perhaps magical walls and castle gates do not keep all things safe.

Regis Lucis Caelum: Perhaps. But no matter. That which was taken will soon be returned.

Iedolas Aldercapt: Impressive. You are a paragon of kingly composure. But I must ask, how can you be so sure?

Regis Lucis Caelum: Because this thing is not a mere trinket. It possesses a will all its own. Enough to break any thief's grasp.

Iedolas Aldercapt: Hm. That sounds a very fine prize indeed.

  • Clarus Amicitia: It's been a long time since I fought at your side, old friend.

Regis Lucis Caelum: Yes, but this time it is not your fight. If you wish to leave, go now.

Clarus Amicitia: And abandon my king? I think not. Besides, our magic is bound to you. If you fall, Lucis falls.

Regis Lucis Caelum: Then let us once more into the fray, old friend.
