become the dream self

Why are you dancing?

In fact, I have been wanting to watch this movie for a long time. I wanted to watch it as early as the last day off, but unfortunately, I saw that Ride the Wind and Waves was doing a special offer, and I saw some tweets saying it was good. So the plan was stranded (ps. The film review of Riding the Wind and Waves will be added later).

I've always been a sucker for foreign animated films, because of the vivid character dubbing, smooth English pronunciation, tight and exciting plots, and behind every movie there is a theme worth thinking about, whether it's funny or moving . I don’t think we should hold animated movies for children to watch. Occasionally, we adults who are deeply involved in the society should also watch them to relax their tense nerves and break away from the complicated society.

Closer to home, this film was jointly produced by French Gaumont and Canadian animation studio. It is not too famous. It should be said that it was not very noticeable when it was staged at the beginning, but it was released in a Chinese film during the Spring Festival. The plot of the movie is very simple, that is to say, a little girl named Felicity who came to the orphanage had a ballet dream since she was a child. There was an exciting and funny big escape. Although the road was rough, they really came to the Paris of their dreams. Facing various challenges in the new environment, Felicity was not cowardly, but bravely broke through. After one storm after another, she is getting closer and closer to her dream.

In fact, each of us has a Felicity in our hearts. With our original dreams, we are busy rushing to the society. We have experienced the torture of reality, the confusion on the way to dream, worry about whether we can succeed, low self-esteem, etc. The reason, gradually, many people began to lose themselves, just like in the movie, when Felicity was found to be fake, Camille, a domineering rich girl, said to Felicity, who are you, you can tell who are you? However, Felicity did not answer because of her uncertainty about the future and her own inferiority complex. At this time, she was like us. Because of life and work, gradually we have forgotten who we are. It's not that I forgot my name, but I forgot the self who used to be tired to chase dreams, the self who worked happily even with a thin salary. You see, Felicity in the movie also lost herself at times, but she was not defeated by it. What she could do was to strengthen her own ideas and do what she could and want to do, and then she succeeded, At the end, she would puff out her chest and say to Camille, I'm Felicity. Although some of the plots in the play will not be realized in reality, if you don't even do it, don't try, don't insist, then you will never succeed.

In the introduction, I used what Odette said to Felicity: why are you dancing? Another one proves that there is no dream, what's the difference between it and salted fish, so, there is still a dream, what if it comes true? However, what I want to talk about here is not only dreams, but also actions to realize them. In the movie, in order to realize her dream of a ballet dancer, Felicity starts hell-like training at 5 o'clock every morning. All to catch the road to the dream, and finally she became the most shining star on the stage. Here, I want to talk about myself. I am a procrastinating person. I only do everything until the last moment. Although I know this is impossible, I still don’t want to change. I know that I have seen this movie. It touched me deeply, and I am a person who works for three minutes. Whether I watch movies, novels or TV series, I just watch the best part, because I can't accept the twists and turns in the middle, I will be very happy when I see it. It's tangled, but it wasn't until I watched this movie that I realized that every occurrence has its inevitable existence value. In the face of difficulties, we can't escape, and escaping from anger will never solve a problem. , just like when I finished listening to the song, I put the earphones in the bag of my clothes, and the next time I took them out for use, I found that the earphones had formed a ball. Because of the bumps along the way, the originally neat earphones will also be messed up. In a ball, it will get worse and worse if you lose your temper. It is better to find the gap between the knots and loosen the earphones.

Although it looks very chicken soup, this movie really gave me a lot of experience, and the details of the picture quality are handled very well, but if I have to say, the ending is too hasty, because I feel that it will definitely When the second part came out, many of the foreshadowings that were buried before were not solved one by one, and it was over with a wow. It felt a little unfinished, and the others were very good.

At the end of the day, it is still a routine to say, all of the above are personal opinions, if you don't like it, don't spray it, we will see you next time!

  • Regine: [to Odette, as she and Felicie are cleaning the stairs] Get up.

    Odette: [meekly] Yes, ma'am.

[gets up, but keeps her head down]

Regine: [referring to Felicie] Who is this?

    Odette: No one. She helps.

Regine: YOU feed her. Out of YOUR wages.

    Odette: Yes, ma'am.

Regine: I want you to air and press the linen.

    [whispers]

    Regine: NOW.

[Odette leaves. Regine looks down at Felicie coldly. A visibly frightened Felicie resumes cleaning the stairs]

    Regine: It's not clean.

[purposely pushes the bucket of scrubbing water with her foot; the water spills down the steps, much to Felicie's shock]

Regine: Oops! Oh, look what you did.

    [smiles wickedly and leaves]

  • Felicie: [on her first day of dance class, shyly greeting the other girls] Hi. Hello.

[to herself; when none of the girls respond]

    Felicie: Okay. Super.

    [louder]

    Felicie: I'm Felicie.

    Nora: [confused] Felicie?

Felicie: [realizes her mistake] Uh, no, no, no, no, no. Sorry. I'm... friendly, ever so friendly. And my name is Camille.

Nora: Okay. I'm Nora, but everyone calls me... Nora. That's... the name that goes with MY face.

    [laughs]

Nora: Hey, you should warm up.

Felicie: [to herself, confused] Warm up?

[shrugs and tries to literally 'warm up' by rubbing her hands on her arms]

Dora: [amused] Oh my. That is crazy. I'm guessing you're new, my darling?

Felicie: [awkwardly] You can tell that because...?

[Before Dora can answer, Mérante enters the room. The girls quickly gather to one side of the room]

    Felicie: Who is that?

Dora: [rolls her eyes] You are joking, right? It's Louis Mérante, ballet master, world-famous choreographer, the man who performed the most fouettes ever in a single solo.

    Felicie: Foo-what?

    Dora: Turns. Really difficult turns.

Nora: 187 in total. And right after, he vomited!

Mérante: Silence, mademoiselle! First position, second...

[All of the girls except Felicie go through the basic ballet positions]

    Felicie: [lost] What?

Mérante: Third, fourth, and rest in fifth.
