Maybe i'm old

Maybe I’m old,

Knowing where the stalk will be and what it will become, I still burst into tears.

My tears in this film are mainly concentrated after the young military academy enters the nuclear reactor chamber alone for repairs.

"Don't order them, captain, ask them"

"Our situation is desperate. If the reactor fails to be repaired, an explosion may occur at any time. This will detonate a nuclear warhead, destroy the US destroyer only a few kilometers away from the NATO base, and ignite the fuse of the tense relationship between the two countries. This will help us. Our motherland has incurred a devastating blow to terror. I,, we will dive and repair the nuclear reactor. I can’t give you any guarantee. I’m ready to act.”

"The tenth cabin has been quarantined"

"No. 9 cabin is smoke-free, and personnel are in place"

"The eighth cabin is loyal to the Soviet Union, comrade captain"

"Captain No. 7 is ready to perform its duties, Comrade Captain"

"The fifth cabin crew is in place"

"The fourth cabin is waiting for your order, captain"

"Cabin One is with you, Comrade Captain"

"Ready to dive, Captain"

"Dive"

This conversation didn't last long, but when I even typed it, I was still sad. Such a sense of responsibility displayed at the moment of life and death, across the time and space of home and country, still has a shocking power.

I respect these people!

Doctrine is clearly ideal. Why is corruption prevalent and administrative inefficiency? While the submarine is waiting for rescue, a group of leaders are in a meeting to study whether they are loyal, which is extremely ridiculous. In the end, everyone was safe and sound, leaving behind a hero and an evocative story. Nothing has changed, efficiency is still low, corruption is still rampant, and when things happen again, people no longer remember the story of being forced to dust, and heroic stories are staged again. There are too many nuclear leaks.

Revisited on 21.7.10, although the Cold War did not start, it was equally thrilling; I always felt that the interior of the submarine was one of the most depressing spaces in the world, and then caught up with the nuclear leak. . . Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson have never been able to tell them apart, but this time they also played English-speaking Soviets. . .

K-19: The Widowmaker quotes

  • Captain Alexei Vostrikov: We deliver, or we drown.

  • Captain Alexei Vostrikov: How are the men?

Dr. Savran: How would I know? I don't know the first thing about radiation sickness.

    Captain Alexei Vostrikov: Please...

Dr. Savran: I'm giving them aspirin. And I'm trying to prevent those who are dying from irradiating those of us who still have some hope.

Captain Alexei Vostrikov: Pull yourself together. You're an officer in the Soviet Navy. Go back and tell them that they're improving. As you say, you know nothing about radiation sickness. Perhaps they are.
