Character: jude law--a married engineer, young and wealthy, with a beautiful wife and a 6-year-old daughter who loves gymnastics.
Juliette Binoche——A single mother from bosian, living a hard life, working as a seamstress for a living, her son would steal her behind his back in order to supplement his family.
Events: 1. Jude's company is a glass house. Juliette's son was instructed to steal it. After returning to share the stolen goods, his boss gave him Jude's laptop. He looked at the harmonious family pics on Jude's computer and felt very envious, guessing that Jude was a good father. So, he copied the photos from the computer to the CD and left them on Jude's desk during the second theft.
2. The Jude family seems to be happy, but it is not. The daughter has anorexia and obsessive-compulsive disorder, and knows gymnastics all day long, while his wife spends her energy on her daughter every day. Since the daughter is not Jude personally, although Jude treats her well, there is still a distance between her and Jude. Lonely Jude begins nightly surveillance around the office, hoping to find the thief.
3. One day he finally found the thief. After following the thief home, he did not call the police, but wanted to know about the boy who had carved the photo into a CD and returned it to him. After that, he began to take some clothes to sew for the boy's mother, and slowly in the communication between the two, he began to fall in love with this bosian woman---juliette. (One day the two were watching the sunset on the bridge, Jude asked Juliette, what is your greatest wish now? She said: "I hope my son is willing to go back to Bosia with me, how about you?" Jude start to kiss her without any words)
4. One day, the son came home and found Jude's business card. He was worried that he would be arrested and told his mother the truth about the theft. Juliette understands why Jude came into her life. She is also eager to protect her son in addition to her disappointment. When she has sex with Jude, she invites her friends to help take pictures, hoping to threaten Jude in the future. Some days later, juliette confessed to Jude and took a photo of herself, hoping that Jude could help her son. Jude left sadly.
Various differences, including culture and language, make the misunderstanding between them impossible to explain at all, and a beautiful relationship can only end in this way.
5. Jude confessed this love affair to his wife, but still helped to give false testimony in court. Juliette's son was acquitted and was willing to go back to his hometown with his mother. Before leaving, he came to Jude's company to thank him and gave Juliette's gift to Jude. Jude asked your mother why didn't you come with me? The child said she was not feeling well. Later, when Jude secretly followed the child out, he found that Julitte had been waiting at the corner of the street, watching the back of their mother and son leave, his mind couldn't help but feel sad.
After reading it, I feel very sorry, but it is true that there are indeed many obstacles between them.
Before watching this movie, I didn't like Jude Law at all, I thought he was special, but after watching this movie, I thought he was pretty good.
