What kind of experience is coming out in the 21st century

"It doesn't seem fair that only gay people have to come out." After

watching the movie, some people felt that "my parents and friends can never be so open-minded", or the other extreme, "What age is it? The cabinets are still squeezing." Indeed, coming out is a very personal thing. After reading the countless stories of others, you never know what will happen when it's your turn. The male lead is undoubtedly the lucky ones. Except for the two male classmates who bullied him, the whole world was on his side. Dad poked me in particular. After knowing that his son is gay, his biggest feeling turned out to be "Why haven't I found out for more than four years, I am such a failed father". Reality is often unlikely to be so beautiful, but this movie reminds me that the 21st century is already a new era. Although the change is slow, it never stops.

The film’s rating is PG-13, and more than half of the people sitting in the cinema are high school students on spring break. Seeing them go from laughing to crying to cheering and applauding, I think the purpose of making this movie should have been achieved. I grew up in a small 18th-tier city, and LGBTQ is a topic that is not in my knowledge. Looking back now, if someone in my high school came out, what would I think of him? Will TA be bullied? Will he be caught by his parents for electrotherapy? I have no idea. But if I watched this movie when I was in high school, I would go over and give this brave man a big hug.

The ending is a bit bloody, but what does it matter? Sweet! I really want to fall in love (//▽//)

  • Jackie: Did you date me because you think I look like a guy?

Simon: No. No, I actually broke up with you because you don't look like a guy.

    Jackie: Oh. Oh, okay. Thanks.

    Simon: Welcome.
