How to put it, I personally don't like films with this theme very much, because I feel very uncomfortable watching them. The orange flowers that run through the whole film are just embellishments, but they give people a feeling of hope. Even though the protagonist of the film is Parwana, I prefer her friend Xiao Xia, the optimistic girl who sees through the reality and is still full of longing and hope for life.
"The Breadwinner" is not overly sensational from beginning to end, but rather tells indifferently what happened in Afghanistan. Although the story in the movie is already very ideal, for reality, this work is too much Powerless; as an animation, this work is too heavy.
