From spirit to flesh to sublime spirit

To be honest, I don't recommend watching this film very much (that is, I don't like writing very much, and I don't recommend it too straightforward). The scale of this film itself is very large, and it is still a female theme, which is difficult for people to accept. But this remake of the Chilean film "In Bed" I'd rather be on the way. A Russian girl and a Spanish girl met in a classic hotel. The plot of the movie itself is between pornography and eroticism. What I want to say is that if there is no good ideological background to support it, it may become pornographic , but it doesn't.
Speaking of eroticism and eroticism, this is where the film expresses itself. The spirit is above the body, so it is not just sensuality. It can make people see beauty, something more than desire. This is often human nature and also Criteria for dividing erotica and pornography. And pornography is pure sensuality filmed to satisfy the human senses. This is why they repeatedly emphasize their works, because the cognitive perspective is different, and what you see is also different. If you only see two girls lingering for one night, then that's it, but if you can interpret more from it , then you really understand (how do I feel like I'm pretending) to appreciate (maybe some people disdain).
Strangers are always suspicious and worried about each other, I don't remember how many times they cried, from the beginning for themselves, for their own destiny, to for each other, for each other's not to meet again. This is a process that requires integration. Just like the intertwining of two completely different civilizations, the final result is an amazing culture, which is beautiful and shocking. Sometimes when you stand in front of the paintings and music created by those people, you get more than a shock. Something that attracts souls back then, like Alba and Natasha.
The love of ordinary people is the attraction from the spirit to the flesh, and it is the most beautiful feeling in life. In "Room in Rome", they completed the blending from the flesh to the spirit. The scene I remember most clearly is when they were about to part, they hung their bed sheets in the two flags outside in front of the big breakfast, and then waited for the wind to blow it, and I cheered and jumped for them.
The hotel they stayed in was in Pompeii in the Roman era. Literature and art added beautiful colors to the film. Venus at the head of the bed, the man on the ceiling, the apostate on the wall, and even Cupid's little bow and arrow in it. The biblical story I set out to describe seems to tell the main theme of the film, either straight or orthodox, or deviant.
Some people can see the road to the Renaissance, religion and belief, and even the rise of feminism from the film. What I want to say is that a movie is a movie, it can entertain and be entertained by the public, and it can be seen from different angles and interpreted differently. Maybe what the creator wants to express is actually very simple, that is, the meeting of two girls, that's all That's it.

Room in Rome quotes

  • [after having sex for the first time]

Natasha: Alba? This stays here, okay? In this room.

Alba: Within these four walls... in Rome.

Natasha: Promise me... what we just did stays here between us.

Alba: But since we are here, let's have some fun.

Natasha: All I ask is that this doesn't affect my life.

Alba: And how do you do that?

Natasha: By agreeing... the two of us. I have a life outside of this room and I know you have a life you want to protect. Don't you?

Alba: Very far from years. By tomorrow, Rome will send us to each opposite end of Europe.

  • Natasha: [while having sex]

    [in Russian; subtitled]

    Natasha: Poor thing.

Alba: [in Spanish; subtitled] Where did you come from? How could you show up like this, without warning?

Natasha: [in Russian] I can't believe I'm doing this.

Alba: [in Spanish] What are you doing to me? You're scaring me, my little Russian.

Natasha: [in Russian] Is this me? Making love to a woman? I can't recognize myself.

Alba: [in Spanish] Your Russian sounds so beautiful.

Natasha: [in Russian] Only for you. I'm trembling with fear too.
