Because I love the song Loving Stranger, I put "House in Rome" on the list of movies, but I haven't watched it for a long time.
The plot of the whole film is very simple - encounter, sex in the room, parting. But the entanglement of desire and reason, truth and falsehood between the two can enrich the plot in the house for more than an hour. The swaying of light and shadow, the right soundtrack, and the ancient Greco-Roman frescoes in the room satisfy all romantic fantasies. Sex is secondary content instead. The overall mood is so beautiful that I can't bear to blaspheme.
Murals are the focus. Cupid was on the ceiling, I don't know if it was intentional or just coincidence. Looking up at Cupid for a long time, you will feel dizzy. This dizziness is imposed on love, and the dizziness may be echoed by ALBA finally fainting in the bathroom.
Dome churches, allusions of spirit and flesh, one-night stands have always been so.
My two favorite scenes
Alba and natasha were one by the bed and one on the balcony, separated by a wall. The two are naked, but their hearts are still on their own.
Near the end, alba and natasha embraced in the bathtub, and their guards were lowered, but Cupid's arrow was pulled out by reality, and the two could only fight to the death.
Finally, when the white sheets fluttered, natasha ran to alba. It was their previous agreement, but can the agreement guarantee eternal love? Or is it just the passion of the last goodbye?
In the end, the map kept shrinking and shrinking until the secret was buried in this Roman house.
