This is probably the one that surprised me the most this year. The first time I read Unlimited Streaming novels since the epidemic was at home, I was thinking when there would be a live-action TV series. "Alice in the Dead Country" did not disappoint me at all, and the production exceeded my expectations.
The plot design is somewhat similar to the mode of "Earth Online", and there will be live-action versions of the game in various locations. One thing that disappointed me at first was that, generally speaking, the settings of the game in infinite streaming have a way to break the level without injury, but when the male protagonist's friend died, I found that it was more like "Chainsaw". A game that is fun to play with. But in the end, there is actually such a method, but the male protagonist was not so strong at that time, and he did not have the halo of the male protagonist as heavy as in the novel, so it was quite reasonable.
What impressed me the most must be the game of wolf catching sheep. The rules say, "The sheep must be hidden", but the contradiction is "Only the wolf will survive in the end", so it should be the wolf instead of the sheep who should hide. This is the thought that flashed to me after hearing the rules of the game. As the plot progresses, while constantly enriching the characters with memories, the true meaning of "the sheep should be hidden" is revealed. The hardest thing about this game is that when you realize that friendship is precious, it's also when you lose it.
The supporting cast of the show is also quite surprising, each with their own complete story, which makes their actions rational and makes their characters more vivid. The daughter of a mountaineer, the leading cowherd, a retired guard, a tattooed man who escaped the real world, a violent man who was raped by school violence, and a second-generation karate who pursued himself by transgender, the only one who has not yet uncovered the mystery is the one with a high IQ white-haired boy.
The second season is a bit like the setting of "Midnight Owl", and the second stage can only be entered after passing the previous level. Very much looking forward to it.
