Sixty Minutes of Switzerland's clay animation, shortlisted for this year's Oscars. The movie's little boy Zucchini accidentally killed his alcoholic mother and was sent to an orphanage. Every child in the movie has different reasons for coming here, but they have one thing in common: "No one loves". Zucchini meets the equally rugged Camille, Semon, in the orphanage. And the film is equally moving: no matter how bad the status quo, you are growing. At the end of the film, a group of children are in tears asking the orphanage assistant who has just given birth to abandon a child under what circumstances. A final question to think about is why use clay animation to represent this theme? It's probably the same reason that some people still use film cameras even though digital cameras are convenient.
