robot love

I have never paid much attention to the Korean entertainment industry. I don’t like watching Korean dramas, I don’t like listening to Korean songs, I don’t know too many Korean artists, but this does not mean that there are no things worth watching in Korea, such as this “Robot Love”. ". Tired of watching bloody and violent war movies, tired of watching literary and artistic movies about you and me, and watching gangster movies with intrigue, quietly enjoying this movie is like bathing in bright sunshine and falling into a colorful fairy tale world.

This is a love story about a mentally ill person. The only movies related to mental patients that I have seen in the past are "Flying Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and "Dream Traveler", the same subjects but completely different styles. The former is profound and the latter is depressing, while "Robot Love" is a rare lighthearted and pleasant. The title of the machine running, the heroine's toes that light up after "charging", and the brisk country-style episodes are all elements of comedy. Psychopaths are all fantasy-loving Aries teenagers, enjoying themselves in their imaginations. The male protagonist is an innocent boy who puts on a mask when he encounters something that cannot be solved, thinking that others will not find him, and likes to observe others who think he can steal other people's skills and become himself; The girl with big head and big eyes and small body thinks she is a robot, so she often talks to the phone, vending machine, and a wrong man who thinks it is her fault when anything happens, a liar who is accustomed to opening her mouth to lie, and dresses up every day as The greedy lady of the lady and the mirror girl who fantasizes about being a big singer one day... The whole film seems to me to be full of Tim Burton-esque whimsy, and some parts of the movie where the girl imagines herself as a robot have Shadow of "Hilarious Life in the Rainforest". The use of color in the film is very good. The patients are basically simple and plain white uniforms, with a strong and bright background color, especially the romantic fairy tale of the film.

One of the two favorite clips is that the heroine is becoming thinner and thinner because she thinks she is a robot, so she doesn't eat, and her life is in danger. The hero fell in love with the heroine and tried to "fix" her. He wisely told the heroine that he installed a conversion device in her body, which could convert the food she ate into the energy needed by the robot; the second was that the hero used his "stealing" to make the heroine happy. "Get Skills" stole the voice of the mirror girl who loves to sing, and sang the cheerful "Miss Beautiful Switzerland" for the female lead. Fantasy and warmth coexist, and feel the pure and simple feelings in the hearts of mentally ill patients. These are different from Chen Zhi’s rotten millet and the small freshness of Qingqing’s love. It’s like watching a fairy tale when I was a child and was deeply moved.

This is Rain's film debut, one of the film's selling points. In fact, this role is quite suitable for him. Although he has two big chest muscles, he is still a cute big boy with a baby face :P. The shape in the movie takes this feature to the extreme. The Teletubbies hairstyle, the wide one-piece suit, the rabbit mask and his natural squinting make people laugh but want to love them. In short, this is a romantic light comedy worth watching. Of course, I think girls may like to watch it more. In this hot summer, let this little freshness drive away our heat ^_^

I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK quotes

  • Park Il-sun: I did all kinds of things in jail. Because I felt I was vanishing. I stole other people's clothes to wear. And I brushed my teeth diligently. Once your teeth start to go, there's no turning back.

    The mythomaniac: That's true.

Park Il-sun: I had a psych evaluation and they said I'm schizophrenic and anti-social.

    The mythomaniac: Anti-social?

Park Il-sun: Like stealing and fighting for no reason. And not having any sense of guilt or sympathy. But I don't know why they call me anti-social. I have my reasons for stealing. I'm afraid I'll vanish. I'm anti-vanishing.
