TELL THE TRUTH

There is such a team sports competition. When people participate in it, their muscles are tight, their body is full of energy, and their body is full of energy. Almost every cell in the body seems to be mobilized. In the frequent running, they are looking for opportunities countless times. In the process of coping, in the strong confrontation between the flesh and the flesh, everything seemed so exciting. Even the viewers were moved by it, marveled at its passion and beauty, and involuntarily raised their arms and shouted. When a player knocks down another player and grabs the ball from him and runs hard, it is his most glorious and eye-catching moment on the court. It is football. A sport that makes all Americans crazy. Each game attracts tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of people to watch. The huge stadium is full of seats. The annual Super Bowl is a feast for the whole people. Its scale is much larger than that of the NBA. The status is worse than ever. Even such a magical thing, which also hides a dark side that is unknown, will one day be discovered by others. Let’s talk about this very socially significant movie "Concussion". It’s a sports biopic, but to me, it’s also a historical film, because the events it describes are enough to load. Annals of Sports History. In recent years, American film companies have always liked to shoot something with strong realistic irony, reflecting the current status of American society and American mentality, and many of them directly hit their pain points, and this one is no exception. I mainly understand this movie from two aspects: 1. The exposure of the dark insider of the sports world, and the process of scientific exploration to verify the truth. two. The self-knowledge of the hero, Dr. Omalu, as an African-American, he discovered and reshaped his position in American society. In terms of subject matter, I want to give full marks to the movie. For me, this is a brand new topic that I have faced since my experience watching movies. An industry that serves the public and has an entertainment nature. While it brings joy to people and creates huge economic benefits, it also brings harm, but the harm is invisible and only affects a few individuals at the beginning. The body will not cause anyone's attention, but as time goes by, it is just like cancer. The long-term accumulation of cancer cells will one day erode the body. Rugby players are this group that is suffering. When they were young, they had a lot of scenery on the field. They used their sweat and hard work to gain money and honor. Some formed families with others. After retirement, they should enjoy happiness and a lot of life. Fun is still waiting for them. However, at the age of 40 or 50, they will be tortured by concussions, and their rugby careers over the years have caused them to suffer from concussions. The great players in the movie committed suicide one by one, no one understood them, no one took responsibility, and they themselves could not imagine that the meaning of life given to them by rugby allowed them to realize the value of life, but it also killed them. Live for rugby, die for rugby. How tragic it sounds. . . However, their deaths are really innocent, and they are not glorious deaths. They are the victims of the interests of the rugby competitive industry. The most interesting thing about rugby is that the players collide with each other when they grab the ball. This is why they have Concussion, but this is the characteristic of rugby. It was originally a national sport. If more than ten percent of people are afraid of a concussion and do not play it, it will cause immeasurable losses to the league for a long time. But in the face of huge benefits, risks are secondary. Omalu’s boss (also a friend) said: "The NFL owns a day of the week. The same day the Church used to own. Now it's theirs." The status of rugby in a city can be seen, and the stadium is the heart of the city. Therefore, people in the league are unwilling to admit Omalu’s research results, but the truth can never be concealed. The public does not know the facts. If the league does not change the rules of the game for one day, more and more players will end up miserably. The truth must be told, and all Americans will not hesitate to accept this frustrating fact, even if the sports competition industry receives a huge impact, because the sense of social responsibility and scientific truth cannot be ignored. Anyone will have a time to deceive themselves. It's so hard to believe. Omalu himself is not very easy. This person is very advanced. He has several academic qualifications, can speak well, is relatively wealthy, sincere and friendly, and the days have been quite moist, but I did not expect to be suddenly broken. It was attributed to his incomplete American identity and his intellectual spirit of breaking the casserole and asking the end happened to meet. He immigrated to the United States, and naturally did not understand the so-called Americans, so he didn’t care about football itself. He just saw the problem and wanted to solve it, always keeping a simple and pure concept, telling people The truth is taken for granted by him. His simplicity and the complexity of the sports industry together constitute the main contradiction of the film. Another contradiction is reflected in the second aspect. This is actually wrapped under the main theme of the film. I only felt it in the second half of the film as the plot progressed. It is the inner conflict of the male protagonist. The male protagonist went from being confused about his own identity to the ending. I can directly see it as the realization of the American dream of the minorities. This is undoubtedly difficult, but after watching the movie, my heart What's stuffy is: the film conveys the things about the American dream is really superficial, giving me a feeling of being at your fingertips. A novel story full of dramatic tension and a weak lyric can be tolerated. What makes me feel the most pity is that although Will Smith performs well, the focus of the film is not properly distributed, that is, the main content that I want to express is not filmed. Not going deep enough, coupled with the slow pace, resulting in the film being dull, hey, I can only blame the director for his lack of skill. Aside from technical issues, this movie has more meaning than form. It is very memorable to make this true story so that people understand the importance of the right to know. Whether in the sports world or the entertainment industry, we need to know what kind of state we are in, stay rational, and not fall into ignorance, in order to grasp our life well and withstand the shocks from the dark.
