"Baby Bao" is an animated short film produced by Pixar Animation Studios in the United States and produced and distributed by Disney Studios. The film won the Best Short Film Award at the 91st Academy Awards.
The story revolves around a middle-aged Chinese woman. From the very beginning, she and her husband ate buns once. She accidentally ate a talking bun, and when she spit it out, it turned out to be a bun like a child. Since then, she raised Bao Bao Bao like a child, but he will eventually grow up and gradually get out of control. She was in so much pain that she finally ate Bao Bao Bao, which she had worked so hard to raise, only to realize that it was a dream.
The use of music is very clever. When there was no picture at the beginning, the familiar Chinese New Year music played, letting the audience know that the story was about China. The whole chapter uses traditional Chinese music to set off the atmosphere and is full of Chinese flavor. Especially when Bao Bao ran away and struggled with the woman at the end, and the music stopped abruptly after she ate it in one bite, which was full of irony.
The character portrayal is very clear, and the character modeling, clothing and appearance are in line with the image of Chinese parents in the impression. Behaviour is the daily life of most Chinese people. Women's daily life, whether it is shopping for vegetables, playing Tai Chi, or making dumplings, all conform to the definition of Chinese people by foreigners. Some parents treat their children the same way. I don’t want to let my child get out of my control, and I will correct it as soon as there is a deviation, causing my child to drift away from me. A family cannot live in harmony without communication.
It grows up from a woman and gradually grows into a big baby, the same as our human growth steps. The background music and kneading dough and buns at the beginning indicate that the protagonist is related to China. When Bao Baobao appeared, the director integrated the bits and pieces of life into the storyline, which was just right at the same time, and felt that it was truly reproduced. Whether it was playing Tai Chi together or measuring height, it was like a necessary step for Chinese children to grow up. There are successes and setbacks. Gradually, Bao Baobao likes to play with her classmates and is out of the control of women. She feels that she has been betrayed, but she does not know that too much intervention in her life is a burden. Finally, it gradually drifts away. In the end, she was so angry that she ate Bao Baobao and left her tears in pain, which also made the audience realize that what she did was really good for the child?
The tone of the animation is mostly bright, the rhythm of the story is clear, and the foreshadowing is just right. After the woman wakes up crying, the shadow on the wall looks like a baby bag. When he sees it clearly, it develops into his own son, and the audience realizes that the dream was born. Bao Bao is the son she dreamed of.

Love should not be a bondage, a bondage, a proper correction and letting go.
