"Baby Bao" is an animated short film directed by Shi Zhiyu, produced by Pixar Animation Studios in the United States and distributed by Disney.

The Chinese mother is a good cook, especially good at making steamed buns. It's just that most of the time her good craftsmanship is just "self-appreciation". My husband hurried to work and finished stuffing the buns in two or three. In the days when the water is flowing, my mother gradually got used to it. At 1 minute and 5 seconds, when my mother still wanted to put the last bun into her mouth expressionlessly as usual, the bun suddenly screamed! Then it grew into a human form! Mother held this soft "bun man" in her hands, as if she had found a familiar feeling. My mother turned her loneliness and loneliness into love and poured it into this little "bun". In terms of color, there is also a sharp contrast at this time with the previous ones. Before the appearance of "Bao Zi Ren", the color was darker; after the appearance of "Bao Zi Ren", the color was bright.

As the "Baozi People" grow up, Baozi's sense of freedom gradually awakens, and Baozi wants to escape from his mother's protection (ie bondage) more and more. Finally one day, "Bun Man" took his girlfriend home and packed up to leave again. At this point, it was the 5th minute of the film, and the mother couldn't bear the steamed bun any longer, so she swallowed the steamed bun sadly and anxiously.

The plot at the end of the film also reflects the current parent-child relationship in China from another angle. Parents' meticulous and even self-sacrificing education (ps: "for you, me..." body and "smashing the pot and selling iron" body) is destined to not reach the complete understanding and recognition of both parents and children, and it is implicit that the parents themselves cannot realize greater or lesser desire for control.

Of course, the ending also arouses the reflection of "being a child". Time passes by quietly. While we are growing rapidly, our parents are slowly aging. They don't want the deep love they once paid to be polished into lonely sand by time, so, Going home often to see, and communicating and communicating with parents a lot also requires sincere and in-depth practice.
