Telephone

Based on the 2011 Puerto Rican film "Call From Time", the Korean film Call tells a story of past and present, gain and loss. Similar to Keigo Higashino's "Worry-Relieving Grocery Store", the grocery store uses the mailbox of a house to connect the present and the past. The Korean Movie Phone connects past and present people through a telephone. Forget those scientific laws, this is a movie with a compelling plot. Shuyan, who lost her smartphone on the high-speed train, could only use the wireless phone in the old house, but accidentally got in touch with Young-sook, who lived in the old house in 1999. Young-sook is the daughter of an exorcist whose evil mother has always wanted to exorcise her, and at the same time, the two girls discover that through a phone call, they can change their past behavior and correct their present life. The father who had passed away returned to Shuyan's side again, and the family lived a dull and happy life. As Young-sook's demands increase, Seo-yeon has to fight for the father-daughter time that disappears at any time. Park Shin Hye plays Shu Yeon with solid performance. As soon as she makes a phone call, she changes her past behavior and reshapes her current life. Shu Yeon is constantly changing between hope and disappointment. With Young-sook's help, the father who died in the fire can be resurrected, and at the same time, it affects the present. A rule of thumb for time travel movies is that changing the past changes the future. If it is not handled in this way, at that moment, a parallel world will occur. There are two completely different ways of life in the world, or in other words, there are thousands of parallel worlds in the world. One thought of heaven and one thought of hell, this is a thriller movie, because of the change of environmental variables, one by one people are killed, and the change of the present requires the sacrifice of the past as the basis. When people make decisions, they always choose what they think is the best choice for themselves at the moment, even if it doesn’t look so good afterwards, but at the moment of making a decision, that state is the best choice. Cherish the people now, cherish the things now, and cherish everything around you, because these are the inevitable results of the decisions you keep making.
