Welcome to the Clover universe of Ke Zong

The Clover film series has a strong Cthulhu temperament. Those who are familiar with Cthulhu will know that Cthulhu’s fear is the unknown. This kind of unknown is incomprehensible and unimaginable. So those who have to get to the bottom of the Clover series as hard science fiction, find out the bugs or illogical and then prove that this is a bad film, save the time, the unknown and the indescribable are the essence of the film.

Although the Clover series is based on the horror of the Cthulhu style, it does not mean that the film narration or plot description is unreasonable. In other words, JJ is narrating illogical things in a logical way. There are several points that can be seen:

================== There are spoilers below, don’t scold you when you watch it =============== =

Sheperd actually appeared in the film two ships, not one.

We called the Sheperd when the first collision was successful, called Shepherd Dog A, and the world in which we were called Shepherd Dog A. When we found the white girl pilot Mina in the wall, we called Shepherd Dog B, and the world we lived in was called universe B. . In fact, when the collision occurred for the first time, the main personnel on Shepherd A crossed to Shepherd B collectively. The evidence is that the white girl can directly retrieve the video information sent by the protagonist Heimei and her family to the team members from the memory of the shepherd dog, and the work log of the German can be found in the shepherd dog B, which proves that the Germans are deliberately making ghosts. The experiment continued to fail. So the German was locked up by the captain, but he looked dumbfounded, because this German was not a German from Shepherd B Universe, and he did not deliberately engage in ghostly sabotage experiments.

The Russian who received the lunch at the beginning is not actually a Russian of Universe A, but a Russian of Universe B. He and the white pilot sister are in the same universe. He knew the tricks done by the Germans in his universe, so he wanted to kill the Germans. In the process of the superposition and conversion of the two universes, he was not converted, but merged with the mass of part A of the universe, and that part of the mass was the bug and the gyroscope. This is the reason why the bugs ran into the belly of the Russians inexplicably.

From the news of the film, it can be seen that a world war has taken place on the Earth of Universe B, the Shepherd Dog has fallen into the Atlantic Ocean, and all 6 crew members have lost. What does this show? It shows that although a shepherd dog crashed after a failed experiment, no crew members were found. The crew members were all lost, not lost. It means that the space station found in Universe B is an empty space station with no crew. The Shepherd Dog that fell into Universe B is Shepherd Dog A.

We know that the mass of the universe is conserved. It is definitely impossible for a universe to maintain a balance after losing a lot of mass. Therefore, the loss of the A space station of the Shepherd Dog A and the loss of the crew of the B universe must require part of the mass to fill. This is the reason why a few crew members from Universe A entered Universe B, the Shepherd Dog B, and huge unknown creatures entered Universe A.

If only the quality of the same dimension is transformed, the change will not be great, but if the quality of the world of different dimensions is transformed, it will be terrible. As mentioned earlier, 6 crew members were missing. At the same time on Shepherd Dog B, the Russians seemed to be able to talk to someone they couldn't see. The Germans were released from the confinement room by someone unknown. At the same time, huge unknown creatures appeared on the Earth of Universe A. Black girl Ava's husband rescued a little girl in the ruins on the way to the hospital. If you look closely, you can see a huge black shadow moving in the dust behind the ruins. This shows that the mass of high latitudes has been transferred to the low-latitude earth, and the 6 crew members who disappeared are actually transferred to the high-latitude world. The world at high latitudes is unobstructed from the world at low latitudes, so that magical arm knows that there is a gyroscope in the belly of the Russians. This detached arm is also an interference made by the high-latitude crew to help the low-latitude crew.

Because the Earth crew enters the four-dimensional or higher-dimensional world from the three-dimensional world, their mass will be reduced, or instead of mass reduction but overall energy reduction, they do not have more powerful power to open up the same three-dimensional world. What can be done is to simply take an arm to deliver a message or whisper in a person’s ear. But it is different for high-dimensional creatures to enter the low-latitude world. Not only will the volume and mass of the three-dimensional world become super huge, the energy will also be the same. This is the reason why the monster at the end of the film soars into the sky. This monster may only have the same quality as 5 or 6 adults in the high latitude world.

The film seems unreasonable, but it still follows the principles of quantum mechanics very much, and the fear of the world of different dimensions is where the fear of the world of Cthulhu lies, facing the unknown fear of the endless universe. After all, the world Lovecraft created is really crazy.

I have to give 5 stars and look forward to the fourth episode very much.

The Cloverfield Paradox quotes

  • Newscaster: Why does the Shepard Accelerator worry you so much?

Mark Stambler: Because that accelerator is a thousand times more powerful than any ever built. Every time they test it, they risk open the membrane of space-time, smashing together multiple dimensions, shattering reality. And not just on that station, everywhere. This experiment could unleash chaos, the like of which we have never seen. Monsters, demons, beasts from the sea...

Newscaster: To clarify, you believe their efforts to solve the energy crisis might unleash demons?

Mark Stambler: Yeah. Oh, yeah. And not just here and now. In the past, in the future, in other dimensions. You have no idea I would love to be wrong about that.

Kiel: Monk, turn that shit off.

  • Michael: Did he ask you?

Hamilton: I'm not leaving you. That mission could be years.

Michael: You said you could be back in six months.

Hamilton: Do you want me to go?

Michael: Joe knows what we've been through. And yet, he still wants you on the crew.

Hamilton: There are other comm officers.

Michael: Yeah, but he called you.

Hamilton: Why are you pushing this?

Michael: Why do you think? Forget about me and what I want, which is for you to stay. Why do you think?

Hamilton: Because you're sweet. Because people are starving. Because our energy supplies are running out. And this mission could unlock an endless supply of power that could save us all.

Michael: If you go... you and I... we'll survive. I'm afraid if you don't... no one will.
