I can't define it with any type

"Clover's Paradox" (aka: God Particle) is finished. I haven't watched the first two parts of this series. It's a separate film and it doesn't matter. I have been paying attention because of Zhang Ziyi's participation. In this movie, Zhang Ziyi is not the protagonist, but it is indeed the main character, and even the key role in the promotion of the plot. There is no spoiler here. Talk about a few information points that have little to do with the plot.

First, there are a total of 7 astronauts, if I remember correctly, they are from different countries, and the symbolism is very strong. Second, the Chinese astronaut, Tan, played by Zhang Ziyi, is the engineer who is directly responsible for the accelerator project in this project (I finally saw a positive Chinese character who doesn’t play soy sauce). The role of Tan is represented in the film. Wisdom, calmness, courage, responsibility, and other elements are spoiled. They are not explained one by one. All in all, this role is a positive Chinese image. On the contrary, the Russians have been hacked. Third, Zhang Ziyi spoke in Mandarin throughout the whole process, and all foreign actors can understand her Mandarin in the film and can also respond in Mandarin. In an English film, it is really difficult to see. After all, the main characters are from different sources. In the country, the only character who uses his native language to communicate naturally with other characters is Tan. This meaning is rare. Fourth, the film should have no plans to be released in China at all (maybe it will be released) compared to other Hollywood movies that deliberately put a Chinese character for a few minutes in order to open up the Chinese market. From the very beginning, "Paradox" used multinational astronauts to carry out a space mission together to save the world. The role of Tan is not obtrusive in it, and the drama has a lot of weight. This weight does not refer to much, it is the contribution of this character to the entire movie. Just go and see it. This time it is not the Americans leading the people of the world to save the planet. Fifth, I really like the heroine, the British actress. Sixth, this is not a character-centric movie. It has a little horror element, but it does not appear as a horror part. There is no rendering of any graphics and soundtrack. Even I would be frightened by watching "Beijing No. 81". Two-thirds of the entire process with eyes closed is completely acceptable. Don't go to this movie with any tags. After all, at first I thought it was a disaster movie. After 20 minutes I thought it was a suspense movie. After another hour I thought it was a science fiction movie. Then I saw it turned into a fucking monster movie. Seventh, the type does not restrict it, it tells a very complete story, and beyond this complete story, there are many things that can be extended. Eighth, I highly recommend this movie.

The Cloverfield Paradox quotes

  • Newscaster: Why does the Shepard Accelerator worry you so much?

Mark Stambler: Because that accelerator is a thousand times more powerful than any ever built. Every time they test it, they risk open the membrane of space-time, smashing together multiple dimensions, shattering reality. And not just on that station, everywhere. This experiment could unleash chaos, the like of which we have never seen. Monsters, demons, beasts from the sea...

Newscaster: To clarify, you believe their efforts to solve the energy crisis might unleash demons?

Mark Stambler: Yeah. Oh, yeah. And not just here and now. In the past, in the future, in other dimensions. You have no idea I would love to be wrong about that.

Kiel: Monk, turn that shit off.

  • Michael: Did he ask you?

Hamilton: I'm not leaving you. That mission could be years.

Michael: You said you could be back in six months.

Hamilton: Do you want me to go?

Michael: Joe knows what we've been through. And yet, he still wants you on the crew.

Hamilton: There are other comm officers.

Michael: Yeah, but he called you.

Hamilton: Why are you pushing this?

Michael: Why do you think? Forget about me and what I want, which is for you to stay. Why do you think?

Hamilton: Because you're sweet. Because people are starving. Because our energy supplies are running out. And this mission could unlock an endless supply of power that could save us all.

Michael: If you go... you and I... we'll survive. I'm afraid if you don't... no one will.
