Akira Kurosawa's dream

The first dream: "Sun Rain". The little boy was found peeping at the fox's wedding. When he fled home, his mother gave him a short knife given by the fox and asked the boy to apologize to the fox. Guilt and timidity, the boy walks to the end of the rainbow, looking for the fox's home.

The second dream: "Taoyuan". On Girls' Day, "I" found a girl in pink that no one else could see at home. Under her leadership, I came to the cut down peach garden and talked to the peach tree spirit who turned into a puppet , and finally got the understanding of the peach tree. After a rain of colorful peach blossoms, I saw only bare tree stumps and a few peach blossoms that were weakly wafting in the breeze.

The third dream: "Blizzard". When the blizzard came, the climbers were exhausted and unable to resist. The Snow Maiden used the snow as a blanket to persuade me to fall asleep, but I didn’t fall for the trick, struggling to stay awake and wake up my dying teammates. The Snow Maiden disappeared, the wind and snow dissipated, and it was found that the end of victory was just ahead.

The fourth dream: "Tunnel". The soldiers under "my" command were wiped out in a brutal and fierce battle. On the way back to my hometown after the war, I met soldiers who had been killed in battle. They were nostalgic for the world and could hardly believe that they had died in battle. In infinite grief and despair, I had to retell the fact of their deaths and watch that procession of souls fade away at the end of the tunnel.

The fifth dream: "The Crow". I, who love painting, entered Van Gogh's paintings, and ran in the post-impressionist paintings full of imagination and fantasy. I saw Mr. Van Gogh who was madly pursuing art and cut off his ears and spirit. The starry night on the banks of the Seine and the countless crazy black crows on the wheat fields.

The sixth dream: "Red Mount Fuji". Mt. Fuji erupted lava, the nuclear power plant exploded, and I fled with the crowd. "Japan is too small, we have nowhere to run" "I know, even then we can't sit still." They fled to the sea and were forced to jump into the sea because they had nowhere to hide, and the dust of nuclear radiation came in and I waved in vain Dress up to protect the poor mother and child.

The seventh dream: "Ghost Cry". In the dream, it is a scene of purgatory. The world has become a deformed garbage dump because of the irresponsible excavation of human beings. Dandelions, flowers and ogres, which are taller than a human head, try to subvert all the norms of the world.

The eighth dream: "Waterwheel Village". I came to a paradise with flowers everywhere and beautiful mountains and rivers. The villagers maintained the primitive mentality of "I don't know whether there is a Han, no matter the Wei and Jin Dynasties." I chatted with an old man who was sitting by the river repairing a waterwheel. He was 103 years old. When he parted, I found that he was going to attend the funeral of his first love girlfriend. The funeral procession in peace and joy walked in the boundless waterwheel village.

Very good wishes and straightforward preaching

The composition and color are absolutely masterful, but if measured by the "dream" standard, the last three stories are still too logical and too straightforward. The first three dreams all borrowed from folklore that personified nature (fox marrying, peach blossom festival, snow girl/reaper), and the fourth tunnel dream (blood light bulb with Wenders [American friend]) reflects on war and loyalty/servitude, Reflecting the collective unconsciousness of the Japanese people, the visual effect of the fifth Van Gogh’s dream is beautiful. The flat paintings are three-dimensional, which can be called a feast of colors, and the Japanese suddenly speak French when they enter Van Gogh’s painting realm. Conversation in English is also in line with the irrational nature of dreams-everyday language distinctions are no longer important. The sixth dream predicted the disaster of a nuclear accident, and the colorful radiation cloud became the "reaper's name card." The seventh dream jumped into the post-apocalyptic realm. The horned ogres, the mutated giant flowers, and the blood-red pools on the desert wasteland are eye-catching. The last dream resembled a peach blossom, facing death lightly and praising the return to nature's harmonious life. (8.5/10)
