Many viewers firmly believe that the male protagonist died at the beginning, and some viewers prefer to pass through the fantasy of the male protagonist. I will not discuss too much here. Now let’s take some strange shots at the end of the film, such as the male protagonist’s face in the morgue. Suddenly, there were a lot of injuries. The fugitive in the bar was holding the man's nameplate, including the man who said that he actually died at the age of 27. These are the focal points of controversy. In my opinion, my understanding is: the

male protagonist has indeed died three times, the first time he died in the Iraqi battlefield, the second time he died in a gun battle between a fugitive and the police, and the third time he fell down. Was locked in the morgue for the last time after being on ice.

Because the protagonist at the end of the film said, "After a person dies, the most hope is to return to the world." In fact, this sentence has already clearly implied that every time the protagonist dies, he will "live" again, or pass through. The future world after death. This also explains that after the last death of the male protagonist, he came to Jia Ji in 2007. The scenes just mentioned at the end of the film also hint at this: the fugitive in the bar holds the nameplate of the male lead, indicating that the male lead has indeed died in a gunfight, and the nameplate has also been taken away. If there were no events on the battlefield in Iraq and no explanatory shots like the end credits, then the last crossing to 2007 would be untenable. Perhaps the director just wanted to leave us with a good hope, so that the final hero and Jaki could stay together forever, and added the seemingly irrelevant Iraq war and fugitive shootings. It can arouse different understanding and discussion of watching movies. The director has already succeeded. Maybe he is stealing pleasure at this time.

    [laughing]

Jack Starks: All of us. We haunt you. We... haunt... you.

  • Jack Starks: What's wrong, Doctor? You look like you've seen a ghost.
